Elgin Baylor '59
PD Elgin Baylor Review
Written by Gervin44
When i first found out Elgin Baylor was the second the last reward for the weekly challenges i was disappointed because he was just a 96 overall with no special stat. But later on when they Made every Pink Diamond a 99 overall, i was actually excited to get him.
Bught for: Free, just keep up with weekly challenges
- Inside scoring: Great at finishing near the rim. It is always a Layup or a dunk. His HOF Acrobat badge really does shine against Bigger defenders. If he doesn't make it, it’s almost always a foul with that 98 draw foul.
- Outside Scoring: Great Mid-Range shot. Very easy release to go along with a great mid-range stat. HIs three point stat is solid but i wouldn’t take a contested shot.
- Defense: His On-Ball D is just amazing. His speed and quickness can clamp down any PG or SG and maybe SF that are on the smaller side.
- Rebounding: His rebounding stat combined with hustle just gets him boards over anyone through the position 1-4.
Weaknesses: His only weakness in my opinion is that even though he has great post moves, He’s just too small to go against players like Kevin Durant or Lebron James. Recommended Strategy: Drive 1v1, catch and shoot, mid range pull-up, post moves(if the opposing player is 6’7” or smaller) Drive and kick to Elgin, Iso.
Other Comments: Try to play at 2 or 3 Use if: You want an athletic lockdown player that still has a offense
Don't use if: You need cheesy shooting or cheese animations
Bottom Line: Great value since he was completely free, nice player to have come off your bench.
