Honest Review

Written by LRAZ04

Gordon Hayward is a beast. He is overall a great player but is definitely not the best on defense. Bought for: 45,000 mt. (Before the dynamic duo packs)

Strengths:

  • Open shot three- I paired him up with Rudy Gobert which gave him a 97 open shot three, which he knocks down consistently
  • AND/OR
  • Can get to the rim easily for a layup or dunk which he rarely misses.

Weaknesses:

  • Defensively not the greatest player that you can choose.

Recommended Strategy: "Surround him with defensive players and let him get the job done on offense."

He can score 20+ a game.

Other Comments: "He is execptionally well while playing though a play book that leaves him alone in the corners where he can shoot or drive." "He is so much better with Rudy Gobert"

Use if: "You want a pure scorer."

Don't use if: "You like defense."

Bottom Line: "Great value for money especially after dynamic duo pack drop(R.I.P Auction house 2017-2017), nice player to use while building up your team."

Any other improvements other than the 3-pt shot with the dynamic duo? I want him but dont know if its worth getting Gobert too

Yeah he actually improves on defense to which helps a lot. It all depends on how you play. I play with this play book that involve screens, or pick and rolls, and when gobert rolls to hoop its two points every time. But if you play whoever offense (Picking on weak cards/defenders) Gordon hayward will dominate. With all this being said if I were you I would pick up both because if one of your options is not working you have one of the most cheesiest centers who will dunk on anyone for two points or you have I white dude who will be popping threes, He also can get to the hoop at will.
