Size Matters

Honestly, going into my first game with Mighty Mouse, I was not expecting much. Most elite 2K point guards in my experience are at least 6'3, and at 5'10, Damon was at a big disadvantage. That being said, I found he was still able to make a contribution to my team, even though PG is one of my deepest positions.

Bought for: Raptors Collection (10,000-15,000 MT)

Strengths:

Finishing So its weird to think that a 5'10 perimeter oriented PG would be a strong finisher at the basket, but Damon really surprised me. I found that when he didn't get blocked (Which was about half the time he went up for layups), he could finish through contact fairly well. Again the important factor here is when he does not get blocked.

Sharpshooter You can really feel the shooting ability when playing with Mighty Mouse. The man bangs open threes when they come his way. I found that getting a wide open three with him was actually hard though, as defenders seemed to be able to contest his shot from far away (Probably because of his height). I also found that contested threes off of screens were one of his strengths, as he seemed to have no trouble hitting them in motion.

Speed He's fast. He gets by guys pretty easily due to his ability to just speed by them.

Weaknesses:

Stamina After a few games of using Damon, I was really use to his seemingly short stamina bar. Sprinting up the floor for him seemed to drain his stamina really fast, to the point where by the time he was at the other teams three point line, it would be completely depleted. The same goes for dribble moves, only a few would drain it.

Defence Damon is a garbage defender, theres no other way to put it. He's quick, which helps his case, but other point guards just seem to slip by him, and due to his height and strength, are capable of just bodying him in the paint.

Finishing So finishing is both a strength and a weakness for Damon Stoudamire. As I said, he can finish at the rim pretty well when he doesn't get blocked. The issue here is that he gets blocked a lot. Don't even think about attempting a layup with Damon with the other team's center in the vicinity.

Recommended Strategy: Catch and shoot, pick and roll, 1v1 drive. Try to abuse his shooting.

Use if: You like sharpshooting, crafty point guards.

Don't use if: You want some defence out of your point guard.

Bottom Line: "Great value for money, nice player to use while building up your team."
