He was so tired that he could barely breathe when they pulled him. Mightve scored another 8-10 but doubt he would've beat Kobe.

If he had 80s in defence he'd probably be 99 overall and if not, then he'd be 98 which is the same as 81 point Kobe which Melo doesn't deserve to have the same rating as.

Obviously, Kobe's 81 point game was arguably the greatest single game performance of all time but 2K didn't want to put on the same level as Jordan

jordan and kobe are definately comparable. i would drop melo's standing 3 to a 90 if it meant better defense. 60 defensive consistency is not gonna cut it for my squad.

The moment card had the same defence as '08 Melo and his current card and considering Melo's never been a good defender until arguably the present day his rating's fine with me. Also people don't want to use Melo to play defence, they want to use him to score and make shots.

IMO it wont be worth the price. Stats look nice but Melo is already OP. The Nuggets Melo is one of the most consistent scorers in the game for me. How much can he honestly improve shooting wise in game?
No boost in defense or atheltic ability. I guess if you play him as a 4 the rebound bump is HUGE. Diehard knicks fan, but not a must have when Im sure you can get just about the same from his 90 rated card.

So, they want to give people like Rajon Rondo 80 3pt when he only made 2 threes in his 44 point game. I love KD he is my second fav player in the NBA today, but they gave him 81 3pt (All Star KD) when he went 37 percent from three in the 2012 All Star Game. So why can't they bump some things up defensively for Carmelo?

Its not like the dude let his man literally go past him every time like he didn't care, he would've been benched if he did that and he wouldn't have evr gotten 62 points if he did that... so he did SOMEWHAT play defense.. he tried at least.. i know he isn't known for defense but all im saying is 2k could've let him slide if they gonna let others slide too...

They're being realistic, melo is a garbage defender, and 79 pass accuracy is generous for someone who got 0 assists and rarely ever gets assists, 82 passing iq is fair coz his iq is "dont pass it"

they boosted jr, jamal, ty, kyrie's defense, i don't remember them being better defenders then melo either so yea i don't see why melo doesn't get a boost like the others.

no he wouldn't be a 98, all that had to do was make some defensive attributes in the low 80s and he still would have kept his overall. If not, they could have loweredhis passing IQ to just a 79 because it doesn't effect how he plays and he still would be a 97. And if you are nott fine with melo being the same overall as Kobe in a video game, then how are you fine with people like Rondo who only got 44 points and JR and Ty Lawson and Scola getting 96 Diamonds?

Also that bunch of diamonds that you named all have total athleticism HIGHER than the goat reward MJ. Idk about u guys but I'd take MJ atheletically at 75 over rondo at 25. I do admit that sometimes it can feel like if anybody is near your man, it isn't going in. But, I don't feel it is awful this year, I have had plenty of games where I won by 20 or more. I personally don't want the game to become too arcade like where every shot you takes goes in, it wouldn't be fun for me anymore, but I do get what you are saying. They definably did something to make hitting shots harder this year, it is certainly not perfect yet.

It was in reference to Kobe who has been seriously underrated in specific stats such as his post fade, which is undoubtedly the best for a guard (along with MJ) - Dirk ofc best for a forward and overall. Melo deserves a high post fade as well, just dont think it should he a 96 especially when Kobe's is rated lower

don't anybody realize that melo isn't bad at defense; he blocks a lot of shot for a forward at 6'8. Him and Kobe ain't ball hogs either assists don't mean passes, they mean passe that other people score off of. Name the best player with Melo this season; Kristaps Porzingis that helps his passes but if they miss it doen't count as an assist, same thing with kobe. SMH at who so ever calls them ballhogs
