Steph Curry > Oscar Robertson that averaged a triple double - 2k logic...
Updated to 98 overall lolol
according to 2k, Curry catching up lol
Show 5 replies...Yeah, his overall isn't really an accurate representation of his stats though, for some reason he's always a higher overall than his stats suggest. Oscar has (rightfully so) WAY more attributes than Curry.
Should still be a 99. trip doub for an entire season is notthing short of incredible
Show 1 reply...Westbrook has down that for 2 seasons in a row and about to be 3 and people actually say he's not the best player on his team
Same as Curry now...
Show 5 replies...
Yeah, well Curry has wayyyyy less total stats. Idk why he is 98 overall, normal Blake Griffin has more total attributes. He should be like 96 just cause an amethyst with that good shooting would be too common to pull from a developer standpoint:
Highest TS% in history for a player attempting more than 900 shots
Highest Points per game in history for a player under 35 minutes per game...no one else has ever had over 30ppg
Highest Single-Season PER
2nd Highest WS/48 minutes with .328, Kareem is 1st at .340
Highest 3pt % by a player attempting more than 450 3s
Sauce: basketballreference
Well Curry is a specialist (compared to those all round players you mentioned). His lack of rebounding, defense, athleticism(compared to diamonds), and even playmaking would bring his total stats down. I feel it is fairly reflected in the game though, like to score with Curry you need to really try to score with him like he does IRL because he is a specialist at shooting. I use a complete ball movement system with the Wariors and a few days ago I played my first play now online game, my opponent used the Cavs and I blew him out 60-30, but with my system Curry scored 0 points, ZERO! Because I didn`t force up anything (even shots Curry would take IRL), but the defensive attention got my other players open looks. I think the way they weight shooting is the reason for his rating, clearly it is one of the most important stats for PG`s, but Curry also has high ratings in pass accuracy, layup, acceleration, steal, ball control etc. which probably brings it up too. He just isn`t great at the things PG don`t really need (I assume 25 block, 25 low post defense, 50 rebounding, no dunking, no low post offense at all) where as this Oscar is good at these things too, I`d put him at SF or even PF personally.
Although I have to agree regardless of his attributes, whatever they are, Curry should not be 98.
I don't really even score with my PG unless it's a wide open fast break or I need a quick 3 (I have All Star CP3), so in the actual game dynamic Curry would be such a waste for me since scoring is what he does. Still, TBT AK-47 should be higher than a 84... ;(
Hell, MICHAEL RAY RICHARDSON has a pretty decent amount more attributes. TBT Ak-47 has more (84 OVR for goodness sakes), old gold Dr. J, normal Harden, there's a lot.
He's not updated, teh 25 rebounding and passing vision make that pretty obvious. He'll be at LEAST a 93, maybe a diamond.
Guys... His ratings aren't updated, you can't attack 2K for a card that hasn't even been released yet.
This is probably the prime example of how the MVP award is an actual joke. Although I am one of those people that doesnt like using stats in arguments because I dont think stats tell the whole story, Bill Russel won the MVP (given out before the playoffs so the Celtics champ. doesnt mean shit in an argument) over Wilt (50 PPG) and Big O (30.8ppg, 11.4apg, 12.5rpg). Both Big O and Wilt would have deserved it more. I still think alot of great players come up short because of this. Kobe (35.5ppg) and Wade (32ppg) losing out to inferior players because they didnt have the best teammates is just shit.
I commend 2k on making this card.
Green in all but 5 stats (79 strength is close to enough to green :P).
Ladies and gentlemen, the most versatile player of all time: The Big O!
This can't be accurate, he's statistically the best PG of all time (overall) and is the only PERSON not just a PG to average a triple double in a season and he did it FIVE TIMES including the year this card is I believe. 25 for both rebounding stats? 25 PASSING VISION? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS
He averaged a triple double over 5 seasons, but only did it once in a season
Yeah, over his first five he averaged 30.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and 10.6 assists per game. He also averaged over 30 ppg in his rookie year, and averaged over 10 rpg 3 times, only achieved by one other point guard, Nate Archibald. Considering there wasn't a 3pt line, 30 ppg in his rookie season is crazy. Also, he is credited for inventing the fadeaway as well as the head fake. So, to sum all that up, 86 overall is just BS
Show 3 replies...
"averaged over 10 rpg 3 times, only achieved by one other point guard, Nate Archibald"
Where did you get that stat about Archibald? He never averaged over 3 rpg
Huh, maybe I was thinking of someone else. I thought it was Nate, but I know someone else did it from the 60's-70's era
Omfg HIS REBOUNDING why.............why RED
2k cant really say he is bad at blocking because they didnt have blocks as a stat in his time
Analysts never talk about the Big O. This guy is one of the most versatile players in NBA history
Hmmmm this looks familiar 2k.... oh wait it is http://2kmtcentral.com/17/players/20419/oscar-robertson
WTF? His MVP prime with the Royals gets him a mere 86 overall but being a second option to Kareem in his mid 30's gets him a 93? Those ratings should be swapped
1. I think this is just a placeholder. Expect ATLEAST a 96.
2. If this is his actual rating, I'm going to start playing NBA Live
He`s a SG on NBA live...
Show 1 reply...
Time to make another list.
1. After this information was given to me, I've decided to go and burn down EA Headquarters.
2. PLEASE LORD LET THIS BE A PLACEHOLDER.
Well deserved, but if he can get a 98 overall for the year he got a triple double why can't Wilt get a 98?
I am pretty much certain that this card will get a ratings boost as many of the cards in this database will when they are released. Since it makes no sense whatsoever for this card to be rated lower than his 1971 card. If these ratings were the ratings for the 1962 Oscar that would be pure blasphemy to the man.
Just adding that he will almost certainly be a Diamond player whenever this card is released. I am betting a overall increase to 98 just like he was last year. 2k would be giving Oscar some insane disrespect if they actually gave 1962 Oscar a 86 overall card.
What an amazing card! This is insane! He can seriously do everything.
that's his season when he averaged a triple-double :)
if the Big O is a 98, prime Magic should be 99
What cant this card do, he can do everything even rebound and hes a PG
plus 6 3pt shoe on him, OH MY GAWD 95 3 yeah that makes this oscar goat
Someone explain to me how he has a 90 vertical but 25 standing dunk, hes tall to so standing dunks should be easy for him
I don't really know alot about Oscar. Can someone inform me for what he mainly did for scoring
Rockets is right, this is Oscars best season where he went for a triple double season with 30+ pts, 11+ assists and 12+ rebounds. No one has ever come close to that. Oscar had multiple 30+ scoring seasons but is mainly remembered as the most all around gifted PG. Also the only one who can battle with Magic as the greatest PG ever. Personally, my favorite PG ever (Y)
What...???!
Why is he only a 98?! 99 Kobe has much worse stats than this guy. 2k should make him a 99. Probably he is 98 because most people don't know him because he was playing in the 60's.
Well... Diamond Draymond has the 3d highest total stats in the game and he's a 96. Paul millsap is insane and is a 96 as well. And they are not the only ones. OVR is pretty pointless in this game, so I'm ok with the 98
@Klayyyyyy @cdub @2K_MT_CENTRAL @Black_Mamba_TR8 @OutlawKing2k anyone got a clue when theyre finally releasing 98 Big O?? Theres still quite a few people to go, notably this Oscar, another diamond Shaq, loads of Diamond MJs and Pippens. I think itd be fucking dumb if they had all these players announced for months but never end up releasing them -_- do u guys think thats a possibility. Hope not. Big O always has to be my PG :p
No one knows... Just get the MVP one if you can't wait much longer it's still a beast and there isn't a huge difference. Once you put a shoe on it it is 97 overall.
Hey guys could you take a look at my lineup?
http://2kmtcentral.com/16/lineups/290873/current-lineup
I just pulled this card last night, everything it does is awesome. You can post up with it and people won't expect it since he has a 82 post fade. Overall he is a all-around PG. The only thing that I disliked was the jumpshot, it was kinda slow.
http://2kmtcentral.com/16/lineups/493265/lineup-right-now
Advice on my beast lineup with Oscar?
Going for around 120k on xbox 1 atm. Looks like a steal just going off stats
Put a bid on him for 117K for PS4. If you want a true point guard that can do everything, he is your guy.
Fun Fact: This is one of two cards that has all 80s+ in each category (88 Reb; 98 Playmaking). the only other person to do so is the 99 Rated LeBron James
draymond
I'm not counting that because it's too overrated
Show 3 replies...
Right super overrated, people need to stop acting green be getting 3's or really has good court vision, Oscar averaged 30 along with 10 and 10 dude was pure well roundedness to a T.
Green just throws uncoordinated passes to the top two best 3pt shooters in the game it's just stupid.
25 STEAL? WTF 2K
25 passing vission wtf
Do you guys really believe he'd do this good in today's NBA?
not triple double average, but as a strong, athletic 6'5 pg i think nobody would be able to stop him and he could average 25 and 15 asts and like 8 boards
He wouldn't average a triple double in todays league, thats for sure. He averaged so many rebounds per game because of the fast pace and low FG% in the 60s.
Average team RPG in '62 was 71.
Average team RPG in '11 was 41.
In todays league he would average similar numbers as Westbrook.
Oscar Robertson is extremely overrated I'd put him above curry since its not fair to compare them since curry hasn't reached finished his career like Oscar and Oscar had a pretty rapid decline, his bucks card should be a 88-89 but this should be a 91-96
For real? lol...Big O is the greatest PG ever (with Magic) ...Currys not anywhere up there...tell me when Curry adds 12 APG and 12 RPG to his 30 pts like Big O did all the time...People are so blinded by the 3 pt shot. It doesnt win you games like an all around triple double 6'5 Point Guard.
Pace adjusted, in his time with the Royals he average roughly 27/7/5, which is extremelly similar to Curry
Show 1 reply...I hate that pace adjusted stuff.. You cant really say that with todays pace or possessions someone would have less stats exponentially. Math may work like that, but a physical live game doesnt. Oscar would have, in other ways put up the same numbers. All that adjusting for 36 mins, adjusting for pace and those defensive win shares are all crap. Honestly if people are so one sided that they only use stats then at least use them as they are written and use a players top 5-10 seaons...this isnt hate towards you, I totally see where you're coming from and maybe you have a great point. But Curry has never and will never average a triple double or anywhere near...Curry barely manages 6 assists and hasnt even managed that the past years...To me he's a great gunner. So even though they look nothing alike, Curry is more of a 3pt shooting Allen Iverson than a Big O, Magic or Nash. Big O is simply the best all around player ever. Im a Lakers fan but I do respect what Curry is doing and I do think that if he continues he will undoubtedly be known as one of the greatest ever. So I dont like the people sayin Curry is shit and past players are waaaay better. However to me there are still about 10 players in the past 10 years that outrank Curry so for me its tough to put him anywhere near Oscar as he's a top 10 player EVER. Nonetheless Curry can move up the ranks of all time PGs...I just think at his age he wont manage to have enough amazing seasons left to get up to Oscar and Magic, but you never know (Y)
Oscar boosted his stats and was never really achived anything other than 1 ring and a triple double season
Show 9 replies...As he's the only one to ever achieve that, how is that not a lot? lol..
Yes but it was because he got to play extreme minutes and didn't have any other big stars on his team with him so therefore he got the ball a lot
Dude please do your research...Big O had a prime Kareem on his team...Big O had a lot of great teammates...and how can he boost his stats?? He had 30 PPG, 12 APG and 12 RPG...thats the absolute epitome of teamwork, unselfishness and hard work. Oscar is a top 10 all time player and the greatest PG ever along with Magic.
Dude look at the card it's the kings and also in his prime he avg 30 12 and 12 but then what after 20 7 and 5 not even 10 years after what makes MJ and Kareem is they got better after 10 years Oscar didn't he got worse
Really dont see any relevance to this card whatsoever. Please start playing and watching basketball and maybe you'll grow a brain.
Really don't see any relevance to your last two comments please start learning English and at least then you'll have a chance of not being a non independent parasite
What are you talking about? Way better at english than you. That has nothing to do with any of this.
I get what u saying but I'll never et to use either lol
Me and you both :(
2k has some bs prices but they got nothin on FIFA's
Yea but in Fifa u can by a million coins for 25 dollars but for 2k however u got to pay like 100 dollars for a mil. Pure bs
how are u gonna complain about something against the rules lmao. thats like pirating music and complaining about the quality
Buying MT is something they kind of push lol. Like all these players and ridiculously high prices and the rate at which you pull amythests and diamonds you need to buy MT or you'll spend so much and get no one. But it's not 100 for a mil it's like 500 now the price of MT skyrocketed
not really. packed lebron and drose with earned vc. haven't spent any money on myteam and have 4 amethysts and a diamond on my starting lineup. not trying to brag or anything but you don't need to spend money to have a good team. also amethysts and diamonds are really cheap now for the most part, i picked up a willis reed for 11k for my bench and bill russell is only like 80k. its much better than it was earlier in the year.
True I mean I rarely spend money but to get great players you have to spend money. The first 6 months of the game I opened easily 500-600 packs and didn't get one single amythest or diamond until the All star packs and pulled my first diamond today. I spend my VC from being in a top pro am crew And playing a ton of games but to get players like 98 ovr Kobe or 98 ovr Jordan it's very difficult to just pull or get enough to purchase.
yeah its hard to get those guys but to be honest i dont think everyone deserves to use those players. everyone should be able to have amethysts and maybe a diamond but i think those top of the line players should be earned by people who put time into the game by trading for all that mt. but im guessing most people that have the 98 kobes and jordans got them by buying mt
Well it's not illegal to buy MT. They don't want you to and you will most likely get banned if they find out, but if the don't find out there's nothing they can do
2k's not hard on people who do it but let ea find out about it
yeah lmao
Um I wish it was that cheep.
Means 80+ in every category
Shit u beat me to it LOL
NO its not a coincidence this card looks similar to Westbrook
Finally released it today!
