He will probably be a 95 or a 96 because this is his MVP season, not his best season. His best season was '06. And I agree, that '98 Jordan card is very overrated. They gave him a 81 3pt rating (same as Harden) for shooting 24% from the 3pt line.

See that's the thing. Everyone keeps saying he shot 34% in '01 when he really didn't LeBron actually shot a better percentage in '07 AND made 30 more threes than Kobe did. I don't know where you got those numbers from. Kobe shot 30.5% and LeBron shot 31.9%.

as a laker's fan though, i feel obliged to point out that in 2008 kobe made 150 three pointers on 36.1% shooting from three, while lebron made only 99 on 31.9% in 2007. But they both have the same three point rating. THAT is bs. But i will admit 2k gave kobe a better moving three

why not? they can't rate cards based on the players prior or future career. Card stats should be based on the stats in real life, and not be influenced at all by the name of the player. its like 2k giving a lebron a 98 overall, but mj a 99 even though they average the same numbers. (not saying that they did, but i wouldnt put it past them). i, personally, think that kobe's 81 point game is completely deserving of a 99 overall and that 2K should stop putting out 5 99 overall mjs when only 2 of them probably deserve it.

Most defensive all nba teams next to Tim Duncan and Curry's never gonna get more than 1 if he's super super super lucky...but 2k's just like fuck it, lets guve him worse defense than Curry and lets also give him more speed, better dunking and a better fade than the younger Kobes... -_- absolute failure on 2ks side. Last years Onyx was a fair 99 and a mix of both diamond Kobe's - amazing shooting, fades, dunks, speed and defense. Now look at the unaligned shit. So annoyed.

Atm 2ks releasing 1, maybe 2 players a week that are Amethyst or Diamond...They only have like 35 weeks left until next years 2k...idk what theyre waiting for...with MVP cards, like 8 MJs, another couple Birds...all Magics, all Big Os, All Wilts, all Russells, better Shaqs, Kareems....theres soooooo many more amethysts and diamonds its ridiculous...and i dont want them to release them in like August when everyone stops playing cuz the next 2ks about to come out...Anybody heard anything?

how hard is it to understand... the tbt card was for the 81 point GAME. not the whole season. He wasn't dunking like crazy in that game it was mostly (contested) jumpers. hence why the shooting stats are so juiced. This MVP card represents the whole season

Yeah, it shows just how bad of a company 2K is that they can't make some small adjustments to a player to make them look more like they did 10+ years ago.... They used the 34 year old player mold on your Wilt too and forgot to put an afro on Artis Gilmore while they forgot to remove it from DRose. I know that they have said that they are going to fix the badges of the MVPs, but there is a shit load more they need to fix.

For those of you who do not know, before the 84 OVR Kobe were not 2K being jerks. They had an error in which the stats were the same as the "current" Kobe Bryant. I hope this helped the confusion between Kobe and 2K.

That does not mean he dunked worse than he usually did... do you think that moment demarcus would have had a bad dunk if he dunked only a pair of times in that game? Hell na. And what about lillard? He dunked like once in his game and still got a vertical boost... Kobe's drop just doesn't make sense. Especially when jordans with a trash percentage from deep during those years get 80+ standing 3 & 6 apg currys get better playmaking than dudes like magic and stockton.
