It's so sad how so many people think that Shaq had a better career than Tim Duncan, Tim Duncan is top five all time greats, this can't be described by statistics though, their is no stat for "Best Team Player" I'm not saying Shaq is overrated, I'm saying Tim Duncan is underrated. Also if you think I'm just a biased Spurs fan I actually am a Mavs fan, and the two teams are rivals So what I'm saying is that this card should be rated higher than whatever Shaq's highest overall rating is.
Tim Duncan is an overall better player, definitely- he's the best PF of all time. But Shaq in 2001 was one of the best seasons by any player ever, probably better than any one of Timmy's seasons.
Once they release the MVP packs and update the ratings of course.
Honestly any MVP should be an amethyst or above. Timmy needs a diamond at least for being best at that position and for that years finals where he was 2 blocks away from a Quadruple Double. The last to do that was The Admiral David Robinson (who deserves a diamond TBT for that achievement) but 2k doesn't like the Spurs too much. Finally though getting a good Gervin.
Show 2 replies...A lot of people can disagree (that is totally fine) but I even think that Tim is better than Kobe. (No disrespect to your decision whatsoever). From a team point, it is just amazing how he can dominate a game without getting numbers and how he gets his teammates involved so much. Obviously he also dominates games individually. It is also great to see him sacrificing minutes these days (and it worked against the warriors). This is just my opinion, and as I said before, no I'm not trying to argue with anyone else and no disrespect to anyone else's opinions.
Card should be in the 95 range
"Additionally, as these players have not been released there is a reasonable chance that 2K will change their ratings some time closer to release (if they are being released at all), so don't start complaining immediately if you find ratings that seem wrong."
"Additionally, you can stop saying this we all already understand, we are just guessing what he might be."
Show 1 reply...Some one already commented this and i wasn't complaining 95 is my guess of what he will be.
Low-key put a KD 3-PT shoe on him... that 76 three could be used once a game for pick and pops
He greens mid-range jumpers like he has a 99 mid-range.
I just wish he was faster
I use a speed shoe on him to get him to 66 speed but yeah he's still really slow lol. Still a beast in the post and a good mid-range.

I want this card bad. When it comes out i gotta pick it up right away.
Does anyone know when they'll release MVP cards
70 three pointer, lol. It should seriously be like an 80 tho if 2K gives Magic Johnson a 90 three pointer
"Additionally, as these players have not been released there is a reasonable chance that 2K will change their ratings some time closer to release (if they are being released at all), so don't start complaining immediately if you find ratings that seem wrong."
I don't think that quote applies here, but I would be pretty happy if they fixed it by release time.
Show 1 reply...Let Duncan have this because they arnt giving him TBT or other cards he deserves. Honestly this card needs to be boosted in other ways because he won MVP back-to-back, finals MVP, and in those finals he was 2 blocks away from a quadruple double. I'd love though a Tim Duncan 3pt TBT card from this shot http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=trdsKp94Io0
Can someone please explain the 70 three pointer? I'm genuinely confused as to why he, and Magic Johnson, were given such high 3 pt ratings.
Because why not...
He shot 27% from 3, and in MVP cards the overrexagerate
Show 1 reply...Second best winner of all time only to Bill Russel
What about Jordan?
Jordan had a pathological disorder about winning doing what ever he had to to win even discriminating teammates for missing and what not. Duncan however got everyone involved encouraged all his teammates and didn't care if he won or not. Whilst Russell won 11 rings that just sums it up!
Show 11 replies...You could argue Jordan did the same. Look at the clutch Kerr and Paxon game winners. Jordan let his teammates get in on the action. Also the Spurs offense in my opinion accounts for the others getting involved. The Spurs offense is built around getting everyone involved.
I agree with that but Jordan only started doing that at the end of his Chicago Bulls career. Before he concentrated about winning but put his own stats in front of getting his teammates involved. Only until he returned from Baseball he realised he must use his teammates more.
And the evidence for this is.....? I don't recall Jordan as a discriminator lmao maybe you don't know what it means
He practically abused Horace Grant throughout his bulls career and then consequently Horace demanded a trade
And he discriminated him how? That isn't what discriminating is...
I never said he was a discriminator but he also did punch steve kerr in the face because he thought he was a "soft white posh boy"
Steve Kerr punched Jordan too lol... hard to believe but it happened. Jordan wasn't a saint or really even and amazing guy, but you did say he was a discriminator... "Jordan had a pathological disorder about winning doing what ever he had to to win even discriminating teammates" TBH to be great you have to have the desire to win and improve to the point of insanity, i.e. players like Kobe, Malone, and Mullin who really spend their entire lives practicing, in the gym, doing whatever they can to win. Didn't work out as well though for Mullin haha
Ikr didn't even read that but still Jordan was probably the most crazy player ever and i think by the way Duncan never trash talked never argued with refs and always trusted his teammates it made him almost the perfect winner
Duncan is a really awesome teammate I have to agree. Poor guy got 2 techs from Joey Crawford for laughing, probably the most severe foul he ever got lol. If someone was a quiet respectful guy like Duncan with the drive of Kobe/Jordan, hoo boy. Hopefully Kawhi is that guy.
Duncan has only won 5 championships. How bout MJ or Robert Horry
Robert Horry was a very good winner but did he ever carry a team in so many different ways like Duncan, imo he was just on the right teams at the right time. And I've already done Jordan.
This card looks incredible. I feel like he won't be as expensive compared to other diamonds, too, hopefully...
My only issue with this card is his lack of a good vertical. I feel he could get out-rebounded by more athletic big men. I also worry about how good he could block, since his lack of an ability to get up. I know Tim has never been super athletic, but, I think it would be nice if they just upped his vertical to like at most a 65 or something, just so it is a little decent.
So is no one going to do anything about Gold TBT Duncan from 98' having more badges than MVP Duncan from 03'???????
he is good he made my team the best team of the day just because he was a diamond player
I would recommend him if you like big power forwards that have great post moves. My favorite for him is up and under. It's virtually unstoppable. I noticed that he guards some of the greatest big men very well. I played with him against 94 David Robinson and he blocked David Robinson 5 times. He's a great lockdown defender and would rate him an 8.5/10
When this guy shot 3-3 from 3 in gauntlet. I had no idea he could shoot threes

Kobe Bryant too if u count the 2 years when the season was but if u only count in which year the championship was then its only Tim Duncan
Yes I count the year of the championshipp, but Kobe is close enough.
ok
It also helped that he has had a solid team for his whole career, a great center to learn from at a young age, and one of the best coaches ever
Jordan had a solid team, learned from George Gervin and had Phil Jackson. Its still an impressive stat.
