Probably the most undervalued player in the histpry of the NBA, without him Karl Malone isn't the same Karl Malone.

    26

Not saying Stockton isn't one of the best PG's ever but a lot of those assists went to Malone. Without Malone, Stockton isn't the same stockton

    29

    The perfect symbiotic relationship.

    3

Yeah I agree, without either one together it wouldn't have been the same

    1

Without stockton Malone wouldn't be the same

    1

Yeah and without malone, stockton wouldn't have been the same...

    6

Yeah a lot of people gave him his due respect 20 years ago, but no one talks about him today, because he wasn't flashy or a dominant scorer. He was a great PG though. The NBA picked him for their top 50 and 75 players on their 50th and 75th anniversary.

    10

Stockton and Malone was probably the best duo in the history of the NBA

    Ray- Rashard? Not that good.
LeBron-Kyrie? They're not really a duo. They score individually.
    Damian-C.J.? Same as LeBron-Kyrie.

    -6

damian and c.j do score individually,
    ray rashard, i agree w/ u
but lebron and kyrie is a dynamic duo in my opinion

    0

Stockton and Malone are a much better duo than all of those combined

    1

    nba finals disproves this

    0

To be fair, it was basically the Bulls roster vs 3 players.

    -2

Damian and C.J.? Are you kidding me? You can't be serious if you compare Damian and C.J. with Jordan and Pippen and all the all-time greats.

    0

no one was comparing damian and cj with mj and pippen bruh

    lol wut?

TBH I liked how the old diamond cards looked. They were darker but these look faded

    0

Yeah they were a lot shinier, I liked em better too

    0

yea these ones dont look that good

    Who's better Stockton or Nash

    11

Stockton. Nash was a great scorer, but Stockton was very good on the defensive side.

    3

    Stockton. Better all around

    0

Id rather have nash, since i knew him better and i know how he plays (which is my favorite PG)

    1

glad im not the only one who's building a team of players they really liked...i feel like alot of people are just like...give me whoever is 99 plz

    1

What is wrong with this website. This guy gives his opinion which hurts nobody and is a good point (if you know how to use a player, he'll be better) and yet he gets downvoted. Smh

    0

I'm currently sitting at 2020 card count with about 600k mt do I go for this card or should I just start selling my collections and go for other diamonds? Is this card worth it ??

He has the NBA steal record, so how come doesn't have a 99 steal.

    0

When NBA 2k17 releases Dynamic DUOs, John and Karl better have the highest duo bonuses

    -1

Check out my lineup and rate! Thanks

    -1

What a card! This updated Stockton is probably the best true PG in 2k this year.
Can hit from outside, attack the rim, and defend better.

    0

He gets blocked a lot attacking the rim I bet. But he's a lot better after they upgraded him it looks like. The all star MVP Magic Johnson is probably the best PG, he literally has no weaknesses other than not having a great post fade, but his hook is cash on anyone, but especially on a little PG. He bangs all over people and can shoot great too. His D is top 3 if not best for any guard on the game right now and can defend in the post. I should have him soon though.

    0

    Probably playoff Westbrook now honestly

    Show 1 reply...
    1

Maybe Westbrook has a somewhat inconsistent shot though, and Magic's shot is as consistent as anyone in the games, plus a lot better defense than Russ. Russ maybe better because of his 98 speed, but I had a diamond +9 speed shoe on Magic, so he had 98 speed as well and that made him better than Westbrook IMO, I've used them both though and Westbrook is nice. He has a kind of slow release, but Magic does too. Kyrie, Dame, Wall all made me a lot more 3's cuz they have quick releases. There r a ton of good PG's, but 2K banned me so fuck it I can't use em no more. My collection was so sick too

    0

I agree that Stockton gets blocked at the rim a lot, but that isn't the card's fault. Blocks are completely broken in this game.
Completely agree with Magic Johnson. I had his 98 overall Gold card last year and he was amazing for me! If you have the MT, definitely pick him up.
    What's your current lineup?

    Show 22 replies...
    0

I run different lineups, but I have:
Diamond Magic, Bird, Curry, Jennings, Crawford, Cousins, Russell, Nash
Amethyst: MJ, Hakeem, Robinson, Dwight, Melo, Isiah, Paul (All Star MVP & current), Lebron, Durant, AD, Harden, Kidd, Clyde, Sampson, Dumars, Cousy, Pippen, Mullin, and a few others plus all the gold players. 2103 cards total, 25 runes.

    0

Wow thats an amazing lineup! Why Diamond Jennings though? Just curious, because I haven't seen many people with the card. Is it worth the 900k?

    0

For me he definitely was. I sniped him for like 850 a while ago with a diamond contract (diamond contracts r nice, especially if u play a lot of games and if u want to get into the black market a lot. If u add the right badges to him he's really good. He needs relentless finisher and transition finisher plus he can dunk on people and finish ptetty well. Diamond Crawford is the same way. With only the badges he comes with he misses to many layups. Plus his release is quick and easy and he's one of the best shooters in the game. I prefer him over diamond Currthe tbh. I wish he had the floor general badge though. He's also the fastest player and the game and good at ripping people.

    0

    thats good to hear.
most people with a solid lineup use the same diamonds; wall, butler, cousins, etc.
its nice to see people using some of the other diamonds released by 2k this year (regardless of how undeserving they were)

    0

I really like diamond Jamal Crawford though, A lot of people say he's not very god, but he is for me with the right badges added. He's so fast with the ball and I like his dribble moves better than anyone in the game. I gave him a Diamond Air Jordan IV +9 moving 3 pt shoe and he busts drifters and fadeaway 3's at a good rate. Bangs on people too.

    0

    good I mean god

    0

I have Wall and Cousins, but didn't want Diamond Jimmy Butler I guess cuz his shooting stats r good but not great and he's not super fast. Whenever I saw a diamond card up with a diamond contract for a reasonable price that was a big plus for me. I didn't intend on buying Cousins but I saw one up for a good price with a diamond contract and pulled the trigger.

    0

Stockton has a nice quick release this year, so his diamond will be nice, I'm only 200 cards away.

    0

It'll definitely take a while to get the 200 cards because I'm sure you've already completed most of the current and historic sets.

    0

I'm already up to 2137 so shouldn't take more than a week or two. I have all the currents, except Curry, I sold him after completing the collection since I have the dynamic Curry. I have all the historic players that have been released so far except for a few of the new historic expensive ones. I'be only completed one or two collections I think cuz all the necessary ones aren'the out yet, but I'must very close on a lot of them. Mostly I'm buying all the dynamic cards now, I've got about half of them. I have all the weekly challenge players u can earn that are out so far, but 5 of them.

    0

once you buy out the dynamics, you still have a long way to go.
those last couple cards you need to get the stockton are very rare/expensive.

    0

it won't be problem bro, I crank out MT like hotcakes

    0

    did u already get him?

    0

yeah I know eventually that'd be problem, but more cards keep coming out and I'm up to 2170 now, and still have a lot of dynamics left to get. And I already have a lot of the expensive cards.

    -1
    0

Yeah but it's better than last year when u couldn't block shut even with Wilt or Shaq, they'd get dunked on by short players like Isiah or whoever.

    0

Yeah, last year you couldn't block anything. I had PD Shaq, Onyx Wilt, Sapphire Hakeem, and all the best centers in the game but none could block shots from guys as small as Isaiah Thomas.

    0

Yeah, only way u could block dunks was from the back or side but not from the front. The Center's couldn't dunk for shit either unless they were standing right by the basket. This year they can, that All Star Shaq dunks over anyone like he did in real life.

    0

IMO the All-Star Shaq is incredibly underused.
2k did a great job of making him nearly as dominant as he was in real life.
Last year, PD Shaq wasn't unique in the same way and could pretty much only do what every other solid center in the game could.

    0

he's just prob underused right now cuz he's expensive

    0

This Shaq is dominant and is the only one this year with good stamina. He's a monster and a half and posterizes anyone, it looks painful what he does to them like he is rupturing kidneys and spleens in the process

    0

I though PD Shaq was the best rebounder in the game last year, and his put backs always went in. I had deadeye on him and he hit shots anywhere from mid almost every time with a green release, even though he was only rated 60 in mid range

    -2

How can I get this card?

    -10

I know that john Stockton was a very good passer, but why does he have better passing stats that magic? MAGIC :3

    7

Probably because he is leading the league in assists with 15k. :D

    4

Remember, magic had to leave the league because of HIV. If he stayed, he would of gotten more assist.

    Show 11 replies...
    1

John stocked averaged 10 assist per game whilst magic averaged 11 which is the most ever averaged in the NBA

    10

Magic played 37 MPG in his career, Stockton played 32 MPG in his career.

Per 36 minutes Stockton averages 11.9 APG while Magic averages 11.0 APG. Stockton has a career 50.2 AST% while Magic has a career 40.9 AST%.

    Stockton was the better passer.

    2

Also, Magic was surrounded by much more talent.

    1

And Stockton can only shoot pass steal and dribble so he spent his time passing

    0

    Overall magic was better ;3

    0

Agreed. But not the better passer

    0

    Gotta go with Stockton here.

    1

Stockton was also a better shooter.

    0

Stockton wasnt a better point guard because he was a shooter... he was a better PG because of assist/turnover ratio

    0

He is not a better point gaurd that magic johnson.

    5

    assist-to-turnover ratio:
    Stockton = 3.72
    Magic = 2.89

Die-hard Magic fan here but i'll have to say Stockton is the better passer.

    1

Thats why stockton has 99 accuracy and Magic has 98

    1

    Stockton = Magic

Where one lacks, the other has.

    Show 1 more reply...

Stockton turned it over less and was safer with the ball but still a great passer who almost never turned it over. Magic made some amazing passes that would shake the whole other team or at least half of it. He wasn't afraid to make a risky incredible pass, but rarely messed up. Magic had insane court vision.

    -15

So this is a 1990 Stockton but he was born in 1988. That means this is a 2 year old playing in the NBA. #GOAT
