OMFG I bought this card just yesterday for 15k and now he's a 95 ovr Amethyst... GG!!!
He's a great card, he shots 50-70 % for me every time
Averages 14 APG, Curry averages 8 APG, gets the same playmaking... ... Wow...
Fair now?
Damn beast card...
Show 1 reply...
and I sold him just so 2K would give me a worse card I actually worked for.
Thanks 2K.
Cmon, not every underated player has to be compared to Curry...
Curry has the most overrated playmaking.
Show 8 replies...It's not the "most overrated". The IQ and accuracy are too high by 10 or so, but the ball control is maybe to high by 1 or 2 at MOST and the vision is fine. There are stats WAY more inaccurate than those.
Curry's playmaking is about where it should be. He's actually a very good passer, he's just a scoring PG rather than a pass-first one because he is such a great scorer. If he ran in a more traditional system, he would also most likely have more assist per game as the Warriors ball movement takes the ball out of his hands more so he's not creating everything as often. In terms of passing accuracy and IQ, he makes good passes and he is accurate. The only passing ratings that really accounts for how much assist you have is passing vision, and this is reflected in Curry's ratings as he has a relatively low passing vision.
completely agree. If lebron didn't have to score like he does he would average a triple double a game. If you put Curry on OKC he would easily average double figures in assists every game
No he doesn't. Diamond Brandon Jennings, Diamond Ty Lawson, Sleepy Floyd, TBT Deron Williams and TBT Tony Parker have the most overated playmaking. Curry's is too high, but certainly not most overated.
Jennings and Lawson are made up diamond cards, Deron averaged 3-5 more APG than Curry and has LESS playmaking, Parker averaged around the same APG and also has less playmaking while Floyd, like Deron, averaged 3+ APG more than Curry and also has less playmaking. No idea what you're talking about dude.
TBT Deron Williams??? Deron Williams has underrated playmaking if anything come on man just watch a game of him in his prime and you will take that back. If anything he is underrated
I have watched Deron Williams, many times. The very first comment on the page is one of me praising him. The whole argument around Curry is whether or not being a flashier playmaker who doesn't actually get a lot of assists should give him a high an overall as someone with more assists. I feel he does deserve it as imo he's the most entertaining passer in the NBA right now and if it weren't for the fact he's capable of putting up 30+ points on 50+% accuracy hed be averaging way more assists.
now we're talking
talking about what i dont want to talk
if you aint talking money i dont wanna talk
Show 6 replies...i got one, if u aint talkin hoes i dont wanna ball...........yea thats an L
not an L just a neutral
65 driving dunk? Im confused!
Is that too high or low to you? Search it up he could dunk back then.
Too high but still even if he could dunk back then has he ever done it in a game
Show 6 replies...Yeah I've seen him dunk in game. He posterized a center. Look for yourself
Oh i didn't even know i only started watching ball in the mid 2000s
did anyone else get this card for completing the pistons rttf?
keep it, if they update it, you should end up with an amethyst
Wow... Talk about luck
Show 4 replies...I sold mine.
Me too
i did also. but that is because my new lineup is fire. 1 ammy- all diamonds
2K messed up and gave this guy out as a reward for the weekly challenge... People trying to sell him ASAP before it's fixed
I tried selling him and it didnt work lol.
But how does one go about getting the actual reward 89 Isiah Thomas? I saw someone had it on a video but I dont know how they got it and not the glitch card?
is up in the market yet?
I think ppl stopped trying to sell him and I used him in 6 games and was somewhat underwhelmed.
But I do need the reward version of him from the challenge. How do people get it?
Road To The Finals in Challenges. You'll have to play 4 Best of 7 series's on All-Star difficulty (not difficult but incredibly boring, I recommend playing with headphones on whilst listening to YouTube or a Podcast) but it's definitely worth it, as if you do all of these challenges, the final reward is Diamond Kareem!
Grab this card while you still can. When he eventually gets updated, he will be much harder to get.
why didn't I see this before
yea saw this coming miles away.
Show 4 replies...do you guys think this will be the same for some other historic players that are on the block already?
Honestly, there could definably be some cards updated. They updated Mark Aguirre, so why not anybody else I figure. I would look at cards that might not be in packs yet. I figure they have the best chance of being updated.
did you buy any?
Only got 1 of them. Kind of regret not buying more right now honestly. I was actually surprised people were selling him when the challenges came out. I guess not many people realized the card was a different year, meaning it would be updated in the future. But, I am still glad I got him at least.
F*CK!!!!!!
I sold the glitched one for like 10K a month ago after 2K gave me the correct reward Isiah.
F*ck!
I'm very salty I didn't play the challenge early enough to get the reward one, smh.
The reward one is still 88, only this one got boosted
Duh but the people who played the challenge when it first came out were given the historic one, and now it got updated
Show 3 replies...they wernt givin the historic one... they were givin a reward version that is still 88
isiah Thomas: WOAH!!!
the face u make when the booty don't look as good as it do in yoga pants
Should I buy this card now or wait for MVP D. Rose cuz these are my 2
favorite PGs.
If you can still pick this guy up cheap I would, I bought him when he was like 50k, last I checked some people were selling him as low as 20k. He will be worth WAY more than 20k when released. I would buy him if you could do that.
Too late, all of them are going 150k or higher.
Show 5 replies...Yea, but in the case of D rose or Isiah, I think Isiah would be easier than getting D rose. When D rose comes out he will be like 300k. That would be what I think.
I'll keep saving up and when D. Rose comes out I'll look at both of their prices and decide who I'll buy.
All the Bulls fans would want D Rose because almost all like him and he is a great card. I would love to have him too but unless he is pulled a lot by people he will likely be a lot more expensive than Isiah.
I hope 2k increases the odds for the MVP packs so I'll have a chance to pull or buy D. Rose
Yeah at the end it depends on pack odds. Hopefully they are better than the All Star ones especially in terms of pulling diamonds because there are tons of diamonds in that collection. The better odds are the cheaper market prices are and then more people can enjoy the cards they want to use - in this case, Rose.
Rip to anyone who sold this Isiah Thomas last week for < 30k.
On a separate note, congratulations to anyone who bought this Isiah Thomas on the low last week for < 30k!
Special congratulations to whoever saw this before anyone else and went to the AH and bought all of them for <30K.
Please help.
I did the piston challenge and got the historic Isiah, however i do not have the reward one. Is it still possible to get diamond Kareem Abdul Jabbar? or am I screwed.
Contact 2ksupport and theyll give it to you as well as you get to keep a free 95 overall card. Same happened to me but i sold it for 15k. When did you finish the challenge?
thank you so much I did it like first day it came out because I was sick that day so I didn't go to school.
Show 1 reply...I want this so bad (all time favorite pg), but I also need a dominant big (like the admiral). Who should I go with?
Holy fuck I got him from doing the challenge awhile ago and now they give a gold damn I got lucky
Who should I get on my lineup?
http://2kmtcentral.com/16/lineups/57860/who-do-i-need
I just got him tonite , already made like 7 games with him.1 word..Beast..He can score , rebound , dime , defense , anything you need. Can shoot , drive , pull up whatever. He always drops atleast 15ish points 5ish rebounds and 10 ish assist.Sometimes he doesn't score at all thought.Goes like 3-4 points. But that means , he has atleast 20 assist done :) He is a great Floor General.Makes it easy to do offense.
Is he any good to play as?
Yes .Very good to play.Even his weakness with the outside scoring is not crippling (sorry for my bad english).. He has a good shoot and his defense is awesome.
His speed and his acceleration enable him to be very good in pick an roll.
Can someone please help me with my lineup http://2kmtcentral.com/16/lineups/352192/my-current-team
I think he should definitely have a historic playoffs or moments for his broken ankle game it is dumb about how he doesn't he scored 25 pts with broken ankle and the best he gets is a 95
2k HAS to make a diamond TBT Isiah for the game where he scored 25 points in a quarter with an ankle sprain.
@AnkleBreaker69
Is this just a coincidence?
yeah same name
no the number and team?

Isiah Lord Thomas III (born April 30, 1961) is an American retired basketball player who played professionally for the Detroit Pistons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 12-time NBA All-Star was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Thomas has also been a professional and collegiate head coach, a basketball executive, and a broadcaster.
Thomas played collegiately for the Indiana Hoosiers. He went on to play professionally as point guard for the Pistons from 1981 until 1994 and led the "Bad Boys" to NBA championships in the 1988–89 and 1989–90 seasons. After his playing career, he was an executive with the Toronto Raptors, a television commentator, an executive with the Continental Basketball Association, head coach of the Indiana Pacers, and an executive and head coach for the New York Knicks. He was later the men's basketball coach for the Florida International University (FIU) Golden Panthers for three seasons from 2009 to 2012. In early May 2015, amidst controversy, Thomas was named president and part owner of the Knicks' WNBA sister team, the New York Liberty, subsequent to the re-hiring of Thomas's former Pistons teammate, Bill Laimbeer, as the team's coach.[1][2][3]
better than i expected.
he deserves diamond top 5 pg imo led his team to the finals, he averaged 22 and 13 in his prime. Sure he wasnt the best 3pt shooter but still shot 49 percent from the field. And he had clamps for his size. He was earning mvp votes from 1987 to 1991
95* lol
looks like a sick card
I could have hade him but I sold him early when he was a gold for 25k now he's a beast. I'm actually so mad he is a beast and would have been starting at PG for me.
his 3 should be lower tho
Whatever it's not great anyways.
So unlucky
This is a good card compared to the greatest PG like Steve Nash, John Stockton, Jasonn Kid, CP3, & Prime Rondo
THIS IS MY BOY
YES
