Russell and Wilt played in different eras. Wilt could just stand in the paint and average 50 points and Russell was a defensive star but the only reason he won rings was that there was like six teams in the conference at that time. Technically, Wilt and Russell have farther more achievements than Lebron, but Lebron has another 6-7 years to go. Lebron is a definite top 3 player in my opinion because in the era he plays in right now, along with his achievements (Coming back from 3-1, Top 10 Scoring, Top 20 Assists, Top 30 Steals, 4 time MVP, 3 time finals MVP) at the age of 31. In the top 3 its jordan, Kareem, and then Lebron. Magic was a great player and maybe the best passer of all time, but his achievements were not as big as Lebron's so far. Lebron is at that number 3 or 4 slot because of the fact that magic can be better, but no doubt he is a top 5.

Lebron plays in a weak conference we can make excuses all day. At the end of the day Lebron would rather not take the last shot he doesnt have that confidence in his shot he needed ray allen wade and kyrie to do that. Thats why he can never be compared to mj and kobe its hard to draw up a final play for someone who drives to the basket. They're just different types of players.

hell nah, you are bringing up All-NBA teams but that is unfair to use that in comparison for the reason being they have played several more years than Bron, and Bron in his prime didn't have all the help he needed, Kobe had an all-time great Shaq and when he won 2 rings "by himself", he still had Pau Gasol, and Bynum, Duncan for his career had Ginobili, Parker, for 1 ring he had Kawhi, for the beginning of his career he had David Robinson. And adding on, LeBron has better stats than both of them

Sorry, just saw this comment and it triggered me. Lebron is having arguably the most MVP worthy season of anyone. Is the most valuable player to his team and averages 26 points shooting over 50% from the field. Not to mention his defence and rebounding as well as his superior passing.

Kareem was a scoring macine, in the time when big men used to dominate the ligue. Lebron this year is socring less but asisting more and I think that's going to slow him don in that point race. He can arrive to 4th but top 3 is very difficult to beat.

LeBron is may second favourite player and the only jersey I own is his, But I thing passing Kareem is VERY difficult. He can arrive t 2nd if he works hard (as he is doing right now) in the regular season and if he doesn't miss lots of games in the following years of his career.

Kobes better any day look at the last time Lebron and Kobe played not saying the Lakers were the better team by any stretch but Kobe was the better player even at 37. Kobe has way all star appearances, points, one of the only shooting guards to reach the 6,000 assist mark after people says he doesnt pass its basically him and Lebron with a bunch of point guards. And who needs to pass when you have had a 40pt game against every team in the NBA! If Kobe would have won all the finals he appeared in he would have 7 rings 1 more than MJ! Lebron usually chokes when it comes to rings but dont get me wrong this Cleveland team if they stay together and others dont leave of money else where they can be dominate for a good amount of time. Kobe is the one and only one you can come even close to comparing to MJ's skill. Like the Meme says "I dont always miss shots but when I do it's when the game is on the line"-Lebron! On the other hand, LeBron has played with guys like Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Anderson Varejao, Mario Chalmers, Rashard Lewis, Shane Battier, Shaquille O’Neal, and Antawn Jamison. Those are much more helpful pieces. Lebron is a baby and flops all the time and whines to the refs which is very stupid if you ask me and the refs. Lebron got cramps cause the AC turned off in the arena at one of his games and had to be carried off. Kobe tore his Achilles and yet shot two freethrows and walked it off. Also, Lebron doesnt have the killer instinct and Mamba mentality that Kobe has. He doesnt have the come into the gym at 3am in the morning drive like Kobe. He doesnt have the clutchness up to the level of Kobe. Take a look at NBA finals 2011 or Lebron missing the layup for the win when Kevin love was injuried last year and Kevin said even I was injuried and I could have made that! Lebron has many struggles but the biggest factor is Kobe over came all of his to get to where he is today Lebron is still finding him self. My point is proven!

You're forgetting the kind of teammates Kobe has had like Ron Artest, Pau Gasol, Steve Nash, Dwight Howard and Antawn Jamison if you wanna just play the names game. First off, kobe played with steve nash and dwight, and leborn played with shaq when shaq was at the end of his career and far out of his prime. Second, kobe's first 3 rings came from shaq, yes kobe helped, but without shaq he would have lost. Third, kobe scored scored so much because he was taking 50 shots a game.

Unfair on Westbrook. Just because 2k decides Golden State players can skip tiers ad this guy can't and had already had some great performances, he needs a quad-double? Give him an amythest if he gets a triple double next game then a diamond if he beats Wilt's streak then pink diamond if he drops 100/ gets a quad double/ wins MVP. Fair enough?

When Westbrook gets 7 triple doubles in a row, it isn't a moment. It's normal. When Klay drops 60 in three quarters, it's a moment. When Westborok scores 40+ or gets a triple double with 15+ rebounds and assists or 20+ assists or something like that he'll get an amethyst. And with the way he's been playing it won't take too long.

At least 2 of these triple doubles had 15 rebounds in that streak. Sucks that it ended though. Westbrook is my fav player and I'd posiibly give up the win to see him beat MJ and the Big O and definitely if he goes on to get 2 in a row now. But typical 2K. I live in Cleveland and watch every cavs game. I can say one thing. CAVS ARE REPEAT CHAMPIONS THIS YEAR. Alll of our big 3 is averaging over 21 ppg and lebron is having one of his best seasons statistical wise. Lebrons MVP this season and all three are all stars. Calling it. And by June we'll have another championship trophy. its over

I think they could repeat, but if lebron gets injured its over. I don't think GSW has the defense to stop lebron, especially with no interior presence to stop him. The GSW also don't have depth, so if the Cavs can get one more true scorer on their bench it would be game over. The team I would be worried are the Spurs. Kawhi has the defense to stop lebron putting up those 40 point games

yeah but i believe kyrie will cause matchup problems. Since if kyrie is going off, then kawhi would be on kyrie. This then leaves either green or aldridge on lebron, and they are not either good defenders. And don't forget Love. Love wasnt playing well in the finals but he could be very well the sleeper player on the Cavs.

WDYM? iman as of lately has been playing very well. his points per game and shooting percentages are way up compared to last year. the cavs are great because they have 3 players who can hurt you inside and out. k love is having the best year of his life so far. (Cavs finally learning how to use him) LeBron and kyrie are 2 of the most dangerous 1 on 1 players when attacking or shooting the 3 (thanks to LeBron's new better outside jumper) and currently lead the nba in 3pt %. then they have quality vets who can all for the most part play quality D and hit the deep ball. JR.smith and Frye are lights out! then you add RJ and iman off the bench. not to mention TT getting boards and playing great D

then they can run the strategy that OKC (under donovan) did when durant was there. When durant and russ was out in the second, they would immediately put either one of them in since they can run the offense. And in the third, they would put either one in and then in the fourth of course they put both of em in. Same can be done with kyrie and lebron

First of all, Lebron James ISN'T playing one of his worst seasons, his team is best in the east and he is having one of his best defensive and passing seasons ever, averaging 9 apg (a career high) and averaging his 4th best rebounding pg. According to basketbal reference, Lebron is currently 3RD in MVP voting percentage, obviously proving you are wrong. Love is most likely an All-Star, for he is currently 8TH in mvp voting. It's somewhat hard to average 22 ppg and 10 rpg, be an MVP canidate, and not be an all star. Kyrie is Kyrie, (who like the only good point guard in the east) so he'll probably even start. (Also the t wolves guys have no supporting cast so that's why they're averaging 20+ ppg

He's also not having one of his best passing seasons ever. Sure he's averaging a bunch of assists, but he's also 4th in the league in turnovers.
LeBron wasn't top 3 in MVP% when I posted my comment. Even then, he's not first so clearly he's not the favourite right now.
Carmelo and LeBron are locks in the East based on fandom alone. Butler's a lock too, and so is Giannis if he's on the frontcourt ballot. Whiteside, Millsap, PG13, Drummond, Embiid, ... That's a lot of guys to get ahead of.
Kyrie's barely a top 5 PG in the East. Wall and Lowry are easily better, Kemba and IT arguably have been too.
The Cavs have one of the worst benches in the league. 28th in efficiency whereas the Wolves' bench is 18th. 29th in scoring whereas the Wolves' bench is 14th. Cavs have no supporting cast.
And they can't get to the paint. 26th in the league in layups, 11th in dunks. Behind the Warriors in Points in Paint per game.
You can't win a title when you have one of the 5 worst benches in the league, while relying so heavily on 3pters (2nd in the league to the Rockets), when your top competition has a better defense and much much better offense, and you can't get in the paint.
Cavs are barely the best team in the East. They'll get killed in the Finals.

Not to hate on LeBron, hes one of my favorite players, but I think westbrook should be the one to get an ameythest moments card. But I could be biased as a thunder fan. To state again not hating on bron, he totally deserves this. I just think westbrook should get one too

Bocscore stats aren`t everything. Westbrooks isn`t efficient enough. He is scoring under league average efficiency. I know his supporting cast isn`t great but I think if you replace Westbrook with LeBron the Thunder get better. The problem with 2k is that they are giving away moments cards only based on volume stats. For example Tony Allen scored 19 points against the Warriors which isn`t that impressive but his defense was incredible. Curry and Thompson combined for 8/28 and 3/16 from 3. In my opinion this is more impressive than random scrubs scoring 25 points on low efficiency. Of course RW is having a great season but he isn`t the best player in the league. PER is heavily influenced by usage. Look at RPM, TS% or win shares.
Westbrook leads the NBA in usage with unbelievable 41,9. Next best is Harden at 35,1. Westbrook uses nearly half of his teams possesions when he is on the floor. Dominating the ball and having incredible boxscore stats isn`t going to win a lot of games. Westbrook is doing a great job with an average supporting cast but in my opinion there are at least 3 better players in the NBA. Westbrook reminds me of early 2000s Iverson...He is flashy and posts big numbers but the impact on the game isn`t as great. 42% fg with 32% 3pfg isn`t helping his team when a bad shooter takes nearly 6 3s a game. 11 assists look great but with nearly 6 turnovers it is questionable. There is a reason why teams with great ball movement are more likely to win it all than iso ball.

He has great defense, a good outside shot, and can drive pretty well. Only I want is a better block, free throw, and much better rebounding stats, his passing accuracy is also kinda low as well

Bocscore stats aren`t everything. Westbrooks isn`t efficient enough. He is scoring under league average efficiency. I know his supporting cast isn`t great but I think if you replace Westbrook with LeBron the Thunder get better. The problem with 2k is that they are giving away moments cards only based on volume stats. For example Tony Allen scored 19 points against the Warriors which isn`t that impressive but his defense was incredible. Curry and Thompson combined for 8/28 and 3/16 from 3. He has great defense, a good outside shot, and can drive pretty well. Only I want is a better block, free throw, and much better rebounding stats, his passing accuracy is also kinda low as well

bro, this is not how moments work. For every game you advance 1 tier, lebron had a ruby already so he moved to an amethyst. Klay went from an 83 to a 89 because of his ridiculous 60 point game, he deserved to skip a tier. In order to get to amethyst, a player has to progress through the rankings, if klay gets another good game he'll go amethyst as well.

So drawing fouls isn't a skill ? I guess James Harden only averages 19.2 ppg this season, and LeBron only averages 20.9 ppg for his career.
Face it, KD lit up the Heat in 2012, Tony Parker lit up the Cavs in 2007, Kawhi lit up the Heat in 2014. If the Finals doesn't qualify for "when he needs to" then maybe it's time to admit LeBron is a good defender but has never been great, and is nowhere near all-time great levels like Jordan, Payton, Kobe, Pippen, Rodman etc ...

Couldn't guard TP in 2007, couldn't guard Marion in 2011, couldn't guard KD in 2012, couldn't guard Kawhi in 2014, couldn't guard Iggy in 2015.
One really good Finals defensively (2016) and one great one (2013) don't make up for 5 mediocre ones including 3 terrible ones.

Well obviously he was trash in 2011. But how can you count 2007 against him? TP wasn't even his assignment, it was Bruce Bowen, Larry Hughes was guarding TP, which explains why he went off, LeBron plays SF, TP plays PG LeBron never guarded him. He did guard Iggy in 2015 pretty decently as Iggy only scored 16.3 points a game. Kawhi also only averaged 17.8 points in the 2014 Finals so it's not like Kawhi and Iggy were scoring bucket after bucket, they just simply made their shots. I don't really understand where you got 3 terrible defensive Finals. Only 2012 and 2011 were bad. Again I never said LeBron plays excellent defense.

Even Phil Jackson, Kobe's coach, will tell you that Kobe's all-defensive team selections were only chosen because of Kobe's athleticism and steals, he said the voters "were seduced by his remarkable athleticism and spectacular steals". I'm done with these LeBron block party band-wagoners. They think good playoffs blocking is enough to completely make a card have a 80 block rating when there was only one block in the game that this card was made for -_-+.
I understand that he does deserve an 80 rating for blocks in a playoffs card, but there is no way you can just say this in a regular season statistical standpoint.
Also, aggressive backboard blocking does not always mean you are a good blocker. Likewise, if you block by spiking the hell out of the ball, it looks nice to the fans, but horrible to your teammates. Teammates would rather you have a normal touching block where it can be caught and become part of fast break offense.

TBH though, no player in NBA history can ever have 99 on everything. Humans always have imperfections and there will never be a perfect NBA player. I will say though, I have see LeBron's offense and I think he is currently the best player as of now. He is basically an explosive 6'8" hybird PG/SG/SF. He has better passing stats than most PGs. Yes, Curry is not the best player, but he is though the best 3 point shooter in the league, and will probably be until he retires...hands down. So now KD is the best shooter period as his FG% is unnoticeable shooting is unreal. He has 60% 2P% and 40% 3P%, no one else can even match to those stats in shooting. Now there's Russell Westbrooke, his triple double season is horrific...but he needs to work on his percentages...only 46% 2P% and 32% 3P%, but if he works on it, he will become a faster version of MJ.

Let me get this straight, I don't like EITHER Cavaliers OR Warriors. I really do not care about the teams. I look at the INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS and how they preform. I end up at basketball reference a lot just to see if some players live up to what the media says.
I truly enjoy not supporting any teams. At the Finals, I always become entertained and laugh at the failures, because it doesn't matter what team they are on.
And so, I actually laughed at the Warriors because they were playing as if they were already defeated, they just choked themselves to death. I also laugh at the Cavaliers because they finally got their act together at Game 5, after the Green Mentality (LeBron's Worst Nightmare) became suspended, allowing the Cavaliers to prosper.

Because they had to keep this card at an amethyst. Otherwise, it would have went up to a diamond.
The amethyst Shawn Marion has 3762 total attributes vs. this LeBron's 3750 total attributes. Let's say 3762 is the maximum for an amethyst card, LeBron could still possibly get a higher free throw rating, at least in the low 70s. 2k should not disrespect him like that.

Well his bpg and ft% are currently career lows, while with 0.5 and 70% still fine. FT% should be up to 69-71. Block is fine compared that all other players are underrated at this stat, too.

I've played with both this Lebron and the ruby Lebron and honestly I don't see a huge difference between them. If the amethyst Lebron didn't have freaking cold spots everywhere on the court I bet he'd be fantastic.
