Ive stopped him with Dwight Gasol and Ewing. I love matchups against Yao hes slow and clumsy

Ewing stops or slows him down pretty bad almost every time. Chamberlain usually destroys him. Ruby Eaton and Mutombo toy with him as well.

Incredible card, and also yet another incredible "F-You" from 2K to some of the most dedicated players.
This time, they throw out a packable/buyable card that is definitively better than a Collection Reward we had to lock in an expensive collection to get (Diamond Arvydas Sabonis).
It should be expected that "investment" in lower color class cards in the early phases of the game are going to end up feeling like wastes of MT/VC/$. It is to be expected that locking in for Ruby Jason Williams would not be worth it for very long.
But we shouldn't expect, or worry, that locking in for what was portrayed as an endgame-worthy card would end up feeling like a huge waste. 2K keeps redefining what is elite, raising the ceiling, moving the goalposts.
When there isn't even this sort of basic consistency or predictability, then that makes me feel like I shouldn't buy anything premium until the last 10% of the cycle.
Most definitely NOT buy VC to buy packs to get players to finish collections to get rewards that will be eclipsed by a commonly-available, cheap card, in a couple months.

That is so true.
They tried to improve the situation by upgrading all of the diamond reward cards, but some (such as the Zach Randolph, and rockets Clyde Drexler) have barely even been upgraded, even so to the point that extremely common diamonds that will go for sub 50k mt are better and less expensive.
Also, you definatly with the best comments man, like jeez, they are so in depth.

It was nice that they upgraded the reward Diamonds but you're right: they're very underwhelming when the Events Diamonds are cheaper and with dramatically better badging.
The Ratings on the reward Diamonds are fine, but they really should have their badging upgraded.

Played against a guy with This bum at center and my Diamond Shaq destroyed him. Gasol got no rebound went 0/8 from 3 and 1/11 from the field. Would not buy this card. If you have this card you should sell.

It is possible that I simply am very good, But my opponent was not bad at all, on every possession he would set strong plays, a lot of people I play dont set plays ever. Since this game I have encountered other players with Gasol and from what I have seen he is just not as good as his stats would suggest. I never said "don't get this guy" I did call him a bum but based off the one game i saw that was completely true just said I would not buy him and if anyone has him what I meant to say is you should consider selling him. That's my opinion as there are better centers, Or play him at PF. If he works for anyone then great keep him I just think in my opinion there are better options.

Fair fucks mate, I was thinking about picking this card up as he looks great on both ends stat wise but you've definitely placed doubt in my head, will probably look elsewhere now.

As someone who just made it to Pink Diamond league with this card as my starting center throughout the entire run, I would highly recommend getting this card. It is very very good. He has all the skills you could possibly need, and then some. He has really good playmaking skills for a center, and his offensive scoring game is great. He's really good on defense; his lateral quickness is 85 which is amazing for someone '7 1". I would recommend getting him.

I got rid of him because he let a lot of centers like Wes Unseld out rebound him. Ended up gettting the new dynamic duo of Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian for my starting 4 & 5.
