So I just did a comparison with the amethyst and aside from the upgraded scoring (outside and inside) and the couple of points added to defense, it's the same card. So my suggestion is to don't buy this card until it's under 100k I would say around 80 to 90k and that's only because it's still Kobe at the end of the day..... 2k should be ashame of themselves

Before people complain about the ratings, look at the jersey number. It's not meant to be an unstoppable #8 Kobe. It's #24, where he was still amazing but not quite as unstoppable.

I don't think this card is worth 300k but if it was 150k I say that's fine if you play this game with the joystick to shoot you need to change that right away he's made to shoot with the button lucky I can score with both and I'm still learning with the button but I also did pull this card in a box so I never lost money so in my upon I would spend nothing more than 150k but if you pull him I would keep him he's a sick dunker and mid shooter and he's three go in too but his three are inconsistent 9/10

Amethyst Curry has better 3 point shots then any diamond I seen so far except for Ray Allen High Scorers there paying mad MTs and the 3s are seriously low for that much Curry is a 97 Open Three 97 Contested Three & 97 Off Dribble while Diamond Kobe is only at 90 kinda crazy to think what Steph Currys Diamond card would be if his Amesthyst is insanely good or as they say BROKEN....

Totally agree. They did the same with Drexler. Two locked in collection rewards then released the best version which shit on both of them and could be auctioned. I don't have PD Kobe but I sure as shit have put a ton of money on this game this year. This was a dick move.

Everyone seems to forget about Pink Diamond Dwayne Wade and his Diamond card that is better than the Pink Diamond.
But Pink Diamond Wade is a card you earned for basically doing nothing. If I was remotely interested in getting it, I could have just checked Ronnie's Twitter at the time he said it would be dropped, and had a team of silvers and golds with this Wade. Why should it be better than a card that people have to invest time or money for? Similarly, people have to invest a ton of time and money into the game for that Pink Diamond Kobe. Meanwhile, this dude gets a better card through sheer dumb luck. Kobe does deserve a 97+ but that IS the Pink Diamond Kobe. People last year were criticizing 2k for making that diamond Kareem better than the Rewards Kareem. This Kobe card shows that they're trying to fix that, and people are still complaining. This is the best system that 2K's has since the games moved to PS4 and Xbox 1. Sure, it needs improving but it's loads better than the previous games. MT farming is actually easy, and earning cards is as well. With just a bit of strategy you could probably get to 2500 cards by August if you started the game today. My friend has Grant Hill just from playing the game naturally. Sure, you have to put off RTTP and PD Duncan in favor of Gauntlet, Challenges and Dom, but it's worth it.
Some people want to be able to play other games too you know. The only people that attain PD Kobe are VC cheaters. I'd love to play a fair game with everyone with no VC involved but that won't happen. Greedy 2gay
