A+ Defender & Transition God

Written by Pvh1103

I still can't decide if I'm going to keep Clyde. He is an amazing slasher, but doesn't fit my lineup very well: http://2kmtcentral.com/17/lineups/793636/the-globetrotters

Bought for: Packed in 2nd box

1.Inside scoring: Great finisher, including layups. Hes 6'7 with good strenght and vertical, so he doesn't get blocked often. Dunking tendencies are the only 100s that I've noticed in this year's game!

2.Defending:Clyde is huge and reasonably fast on defense. He can guard anyone 1-3 and most stretch 4s. I would never play him at the 4 personally, unless LeBron or Carmelo are heating up.

3.Transition: He moves very quickly in transition and is almost always involved in fast breaks. His dunk and layup animations trigger from about 12-14 feet out!

  1. Speed: He isn't going to blow by too many defenders, except when his transition badges are boosting his speed. Because he is 6'7"/220, he doesn't turn corners as quick as you might like. It's way easier to get dunks with 92ovr Steve Francis because of his speed and acceleration, IMO.

  2. Shooting Animations: His jumpshot (and close shot/layup) animations are very fast. I suppose that this means they could be very good with practice, but for me they are hard to time because they move so fast (especially on ruby league and higher).

  3. 3pt Shot: He doesn't really have one- I think that all the legends can hit 3s in 2k, though. He still gets some nasty knockdown threes, just like Jordan, Ewing, Rodman can hit them.

Recommended Strategy: Drive to the hoop and double tap the shot button for a spin shot. Be prepared to pass if the lane is clogged on higher difficulties. DO NOT RELY ON INSANE STATS TO PULL OFF TERRIBLE SHOTS. It stops working in the ruby league :/

Use if: You need a big defender who can slam it down in transition and create his own lane off the pass.

Don't use if: You need a guard with 3pt statistics, you need a cheesy point guard (low ball handling gets stripped while iso dribbling)

Bottom Line: Very good player, but his lack of speed/agility hold him back from dunking like Wall, Westbrook, Francis, Tmac, VC, etc. His lack of 3 can be frustrating in clutch situations.

Ngl I respectfully disagree with some of your points. His 3 has been really good for me and he feels rapid in game. Also he dunks really well for me. My favourite player this year apart from 96 Steve Francis

That's good to hear- I'll try some more dunks! I got swatted three times during dunks in transition and stopped trying them ;)

I get most of mine when offence is set. Coming off some picks hes really good at dunking. Also try his post-fade. Can back down most guards and hes got a 90+ fade which is OP :)
