I have him, and he's a mixed bag for me. Defensively, he's a stalwart, getting tons of blocks and contesting shots while locking down proficient post players. He also gets a lot of rebounds and can pass pretty well for a big. He comes with 6 gold badges off the bat, which complements his style of play; a physical, lockdown big that rebounds well.

However, his biggest weakness is offensively. He misses so many lay ups even when slightly contested. For reference, my Emerald Al Horford took the same and even more difficult shots and hit a majority of them. Also, I don't know what it is, but his post hooks rarely go in, even when against smaller defenders. To be fair, I did rush and force some of those shots, but even when they're not, they don't go in very often. And to top it off, he's slow, a 39 speed.

Idk what is, maybe I'm bad or I'm not using him correctly, but I wince whenever I think I have an open lay up only for the weakside help to get slightly in his area causing him to miss.

TBH i didn't want to believe you when i read your comment. He was such a beast last year, if you drop stepped with him in the paint it was over. He was dunking on everyone. But this year he's different on offense, they have him playing like centers in 2K15. And whenever he tries to do a standing layup with anyone near him i have to spam triangle cause i know he's probably gonna miss it.

But it feels like that with every center for me. They've gone back to centers playing like cotton swabs. Not to mention the missed layups for everyone including guards. I could enjoy this game a lot more if centers and power forwards with high dunk stats dunked more and if layups all around went in more.

Bottom line: If he's one of your favorite players and you need a defensive presence, get him. But if you need efficient low post offense or a perimeter shooting big, steer clear of him.

Agreed. I love him for his defense and rebounding. He's so good at them that I really don't care about his lack of dunking. And again, I agree with you how the bigs in this game feel weak (except for Shaq. I love that card). I just hope 2K releases a patch that fixes the lay up problem. We shouldn't be missing lay ups with bigs when IT is contesting. But it's 2K, so I don't see any fixes coming soon.

Yep, probably won't see an update for layups for a month at least. I wish i could post a video i took of Roy missing a layup right under the rim because someones hand was a foot away from him. Part of me doesn't mind him not posterizing players, but it gives me nightmares when i have a clear space in front of the rim and i know he'll only dunk it 1 out of 25 attempts.

    I hope that's not true lol. That's like a 6th grade word

There are a lot of non native speakers on here though...

This is true. I really didn't think of that tbh.

.....damn, I'm in 9th grade and have a very good vocabulary for my age. I don't even know what that means. I used context clues to figure it out, but I didn't know right off the bat

THIS CARD IS FUCKING TRASH... ALL HE DOES IS FOUL ON DEFENCE, HE IS 7'2 AND CANT DUNK, HE MISSES DAMN NEAR ALL HIS LAYUPS AND LETS GUARDS GET REBOUNDS OVER HIM, HE IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF 25000 MT, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CARD

    0

    nah theres a foul glitch

    0

    hibbert cards are always ass

    0

    I will

    1

He averages a double double for me in points and rebounds

    0

I would buy him but he is so expensive. Main reason I would buy him is because I am a pacers fan and I need a ruby center

  • 0

His standing dunk tendency and standing layup tendency are entirely too low for this card to be worth picking up for anything more than a good post defender

  • 0

hes is actually really good. getting a ruby for only 10 000 mt. WORTH IT

  • 0

Really disappointing. I picked him up because of the foul glitch and the fact you can (in theory) contest layups without fouling. Problem is he's so damn slow that by the time he recovers to contest a guard or wing at the rim they've already dunked the ball. Also he can't get back on d so your opponent will get several buckets on throw aheads.

Offensively his best asset is his jumper. He is a knockdown shooter from mid with an unblockabke shot and quick release. Other than that he's bad. He will grab o rebs but will NEVER make the put back. If you try to pass out he will get stripped half the time. He will not dunk the basketball and misses 90% of his hook shots and bunnies

To be fair he's a good post defender and rebounder. But like I said his help defense is bad and extremely limited offensively
