If anyone thinks he’s not ROTY they can fight me right now
the thing in NBA that's stupid to me is that people that were drafted the year before or even longer can win the ROTY in the 2nd year if they missed the first season. Like just because they're not playing doesn't mean they can't learn about the NBA
I mean he's already played a season prior to this year, even though he didn't meet the requirements to get passed the stage of a rookie. The award should actually be awarded to players in there first year. So yes. Hate me. Donovan Mitchell deserves RotY
If you think Mitchel is the roty when he has worse stats and less wins than you have a 0 basketball IQ
"Worse stats" Mitchell gets more points
"Less wins" Simmons has a better team surrounding him.
lmao just because he has more points doesn't mean he has better stats
Mitchel only has more points because he chucks up 20 shots a game with an awful 43 FG% and sub par stats all the way around while Simmons is an efficient scorer, elite passer, great rebounder, and a great defender
Once-in-a-generation talent right here
Just like lebron, he literally has the exact same skillset when coming into the league
Facts. Ahead of lebron as a passer at this stage but not as a scorer
Show 1 reply...Can y'all check this out I promise this is gonna be the only post I'm gonna put this here but I kind of go on a rant about how broken 2k is http://2kmtcentral.com/18/lineups/349695/why-2k-is-dead I'm legit done with this game after every single day I only get matched up with one person in my tier and I usually meet a cheeser in the amethyst tier or higher.
and they been saying "donovan mitchell > simmons"
They were right
how ?
Show 28 replies...Does simmons average 20 per game?
does Mitchell average 8 APG or 8 RPG or even over 50% shooting?
Can ben simmons shoot threes? Does mitchell average 3 turnovers per game?
Simmons game does not revolve around the 3, that doesn't mean you cannot be a great player MJ was never a good 3 point shooter, Kobe, Magic etc...and Simmons is the playmaker on his team ofc he's gonna average over 3 TOPG, while Mitchell has Rubio
Mj never took any, Kobe was great at threes, and so was magic.
LMAO Magic shot 18% from 3 one year what are you talking about
also you can't say Simmons can't shoot and then use the excuse for MJ that he never took any considering Simmons takes way less
MJ attempted 200 threes or more in a season 4 times, Kobe's career 3PT% is only 32.9 and never even cracked 39 so "great" is not the word to use for the way Kobe shoots threes lol, and Magic was NOT a good three point shooter at all, as his career 3PT% is only just over 30
Kobe took too many threes. Your IQ is 0 if you think Kobe can't shoot.
Kobe is the worst shot selector of all time, and no my IQ isn't 0 like yours, and quit debating this dumbass topic Simmons was better during the regular season
Did I say Kobe had a good shot selection? Also, Mitchell has been bigger for his team. He's putting up 20 points while Ben Simmons is missing dunks in the playoffs while the game is tied at 91. Face it, dude, your IQ is trash if you think Simmons is ROY. If they counted the playoffs, I'd say Tatum, but in no way is Ben Simmons rookie of the year. Go back to sitting on the couch eating donuts all day.
You just said Simmons was missing dunks during the playoffs, the playoffs don't count you fucking cunt, your IQ is fucking garbage "Go back to sitting on thr couch eating donuts all day" your 7 nigga lmao
You're clearly in like 3rd grade, so go back to studying how to multiply.
lmfao Simmons is ROTY
lol no he isnt
u will see in a few weeks
Yeah, I'll see Mitchell holding that ROTY trophy.
yea the trophy for 2nd place
Lol simmons will get 3rd then. Tatum will get first.
LMAO
I'm seven? You can't even use the right "you're"!
yes you are
If I'm seven, then you're 4.
Again with the 90 free throw 2k, they gave the same rating to Lonzo. It's ridiculous, two of the worst FT shooters in the league and they both get 90s. Ben's should be an 80 MAX and Lonzo's a 70-75 MAX.
88 mid is also ridiculous
He'll be a force to be reckon with in just 2-3 years from now, that's very scary
I don't think we'll ever see Simmons develop into a 3-point shooter, he's just too dominate on the inside
When a center legend gets a good card: 80+ 3PT
When a rookie small forward gets a good card: 52 3PT
He's literally 0% from three. He's shot 11 threes and hasn't made one. I honestly think it should be a bit worse. I he hasn't made a three in the NBA yet why should he be making them in the game?
Obviously you haven't seen some of the ratings they have given players like Kareem or Hakeem
Show 1 reply...Yeah, but the community would get mad over this card getting a three ball (standing shot: ~80)
He and Giannis have defined what a "positionless player" actually is.
Magic Johnson also did, but they're doing it better
Magic stayed more un his role cuz they had Kareem
tru, tru
Remember though, when Kareem went down with injury in the finals one year that magic played the center position and won the title.
The NBA altogether has become positionless
As long as you have a 7 footer, a shooter and an all-round player, you're set.
Not even close
are we just gonna act like he didnt say that giannis and simmons are better than magic johnson?
i guess so I think Ben is good but nothing like Earvin
Are you actually kidding me? Magic won Finals MVP in his first season, and because Simmons is playing admittedly well, you have to downgrade one of the top 5 players in NBA history.
People say magic did but these guys can play positionless two way ball. Magic was nowhere the defender these guys are. But the league has changed so drastically it’s not really fair to highlight his shortcomings in a more physical game.
and just a disclaimer for those who don’t understand what I said no I don’t think either of the young stars are better players than Magic
Yes more a Giannis, because he can't shoot a three.
Giannis can shoot better than Ben Simmons from 3
True, but they are both not good 3 point shooters
Yea, I mean tbh I don’t watch The games I’m just going by the 2k three point shot giannis 93 overall has a higher three than bens 94
lmao, no offense, but youre a super casual fan b
Just imagine if he develops a three ball
bruh you didn't knew this guy
Look at Caldy video. He can't shoot three in IRL but he can shoot 3's in 2k.
Look at the video of him sinking 9 3’s in a row. He can shoot… he’s just not confident about it.
Everyone can shoot in practice.
A young Magic :-) he can pass way better than LeBron
Lol, "way better" than LeBron... LeBron is one of the greatest passers ever, not sure if he's even below Magic. Less flashy tho
LeBron is far from Magic when it comes to passing
Larry Bird isn’t even that far from Magic when it comes to passing, so yeah LeBron is honestly on Magic’s level it’s not his fault Magic retired early.
Not insulting Magic btw, just saying Bird is a underrated playmaker.
