James jones and the birdman are a good duo but there are way better SF and C that you can get like Tatum/Isaac and Embiid/Speights (all of them ruby) for a similar price and they can do way more things. Maybe slash Thon to C and put a good PF like Kuzma or Diaw that can do everything.

The lane =/= the whole court buddy. And it wasn’t just specifically because of him.

your right it was just the lane but Before Chamberlain came into the league, there was no such thing as offensive goaltending. It also wasn't against the rules to take free throws by jumping towards the basket and laying the ball into the hoop. But the NBA banned both of those things once Chamberlain started playing in the league and also widened the lane to try and keep him from posting up on every single possession. Those rules are still in effect today and continue to limit the effect that a center can have on an NBA game. He also was the mvp all star mvp and roty in his rookie season he was also the only center in nba history to lead the league in assists. Thats just how dominant he was.
