Actually I’d say the new pd LeBron has that honor JUST BECAUSE of the height advantage, but basically
Lmfao I knew the codes would be irrelevant. Like it or not, 2k are a bunch of marketing geniuses
man i think that they took it too far so maybe they will get some money from kids but other people just quit the game.
Nah this system is genius
They get the codes getting people excited for the game and when it's over and the smarter consumers leave for the year they release this hoping to profit from people who are compulsive buyers trying to get one of these cards. It's scummy af but it's smart.
marco belinelli should have a card like this, i'm not biased it's just facts
If this card was a locker code there would be madness up the ass.
Aye who would you rather on your MYTEAM mj or lebron
Bron because they’re the exact same card except bron is 2 inches taller
yea lebron is wayy better
Show 13 replies...Again, they’re the exact same card but LeBron has a height advantage. So I wouldn’t say “wayy better”
true but lebron is goat
Jordan>
LeGoat> michael Who?
You know just a guy who never lost an nba finals and never went to a game 7 in a decade with a lot of the greatest players of all time to start off
Well played, *coughs (didn’t have JR smith, had Scottie pippens, and Dennis Rodman.
Yeah but jordan’s competition was much harder. You know, just Chris Mullin, Joe Dumars, Tim Hardaway, Kevin Johnson, Mitch Richmond, Gary Payton, Alonzo Mourning, Reggie Miller, Dikembe Mutombo, Shawn Kemp, Patrick Ewing, Clyde Drexler, John Stockton, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Karl Malone, David Robinson, and Hakeem Olajuwon.
He didn’t guard them though, Scottie puppets did
But he beat all of them. He also won DPOY in that era OVER Hakeem, Barkley, and Dumars (just to name a few)
But everyone one else wouldn’t last a day in the league today!!
Reggie Miller and Chris Mullin were amazing shooters, dikembe, Shaq, and Hakeem were defensive MONSTERS, and everyone else were very good players. So can you actually explain your argument like I am doing right now
MJ because of his jumshot it'll be way easier to shoot 3's and he has better animations when handling the ball and when going to the rim also. Lebron is good too but most likely in the post or when dunking on ppl
RIP the MyTeam auction house, and to think I spent 50 k on PD Anthony Davis, 44k for PD Chris Webber, And 74k for PD Russell Westbrook.... That's a waste of MT because of the prices now....
This card is honestly a joke. The stats and badges are so exaggerated that I honestly didn't in gasp in amazement, i literally just laughed so hard because i saw this card as the truest epitome of NBA 2k myteam.
good one Ronny, thanks for one final laugh in another year of pure comedy.
Yo, lebron and MJ have the same badges, the same stats, the same everything!
The only reason LeBron is better in 2kMTCentral is because his Dynamic Duo is none other than 99 Magic Johnson. Magic is the President of Basketball Operations, and LeBron joined the Lakers, so Magic and LeBron are Dynamic Duos.
Meanwhile, Michael Jordan's Dynamic Duo was 97 Scottie Pippen, so the reason LeBron is better is because his Dynamic Duo is 2 points up than Michael's.
"But then again, it's just a theory. IN GAME THEORY!"
Credit to thinkin up this theory, and Credit to MatPat for then ending.
This should be lonzo ball! Lonzo for da win!!!
lonzo is a below average overhyped soft pussycat
I wouldn't go that hard on Lonzo. As a Spurs fan, I think he shows significant promise and can impact the game in multiple aspects. Also, from what I've seen he is a good person and team-mate, it's his dad that's a douche.
Show 4 replies...im just going hard on the people who are saying hes going to be better than lebron, or michael jordan, or kobe. and im like, wtf are you talking about, shaq shot a better % from the ft line than lonzo. in the end, hes overhyped, and trash compared to his expectations.
Yall cant think im serious
Show 1 reply...Wow, first card with all 99 stats. Wait till Brogdon's card next year, he'll have 101 stats
Omg kill me
You're a Bulls fan? I hope you enjoy being irrelevant for the next 20 years
Show 73 replies...No, I’m not, I’m a 76ers fan, and we’re rebuilding our franchise, while you Bucks fans praise Giannis and Brogdon for being good/great players, while not being able to get a championship.
Let's be honest, is anyone really able to get a championship with the Warriors around?
I'm not a Bucks fan...
Same difference, UVA isn't able to get a championship either
2018: 31-3
2017: 23-11
2016: 29-8
2015: 30-4
2014: 30-7

3-4
I don't really understand where you're going at here
regular season record doesnt = championship
we've already seen this in the past *cough warriors cough*

Hmm, let me spell it out for you. UVA fan is back again

NCAA > NBA and there's nothing the NBA does better than it (on an entertainment level)
k go argue on a ncaa site
bye
Go ahead and name something the NBA does better than college (from an entertainment standpoint). Also I can't go on an NCAA site because I'll get bombarded by UMBC comments whenever I say anything.
Ay remember UMBC
I do, I also remember Syracuse and being told about Chaminade. Please, think of something original you uncreative idiot
How bout ill stop when you stop saying dumb shit like Brogdon deserves to be a 101 overall
Um, have you seen him play in college, very worthy of a 101 overall card
I saw one game of his in college. He choked a 14 point lead with 10 minutes left
Ok. Remember UMBC?
it doesnt have cringy players tryna look cool, and it doesnt have liangelo ball
bye
1. Liangelo Ball never even played an official game in college
2. Cringy and trying to look cool? I've cringed more at NBA trying to be funny than any college player
oh yeah i forgot liangelo played in lithuania.
yes cringy, go find a college site pls
ok bye
Have you ever even seen a college game? I'd rather watch a regular season game between 2 irrelevant teams in college than in the NBA, it's SIMPLE
In my opinion the ncaa is more fan interactive. But the nba is more entertaining.
NCAA does have more fan interactivity as a home court advantage is stronger in college than NBA and the student section of any college (big or small) is always hyped and bring energy to the home team. However with more entertainment? NCAA has more parity, games mean much more, upsets are everywhere, cinderella stories every year, and players don't have the right to switch teams (with no penalty) whenever they feel like it.
You know what was a great cinderella story?? UMBC
I know right! A team that everyone thought was a community college for about 4 hours getting red hot against an emotionally distraught and injury riddled team, then proceeding to lose all their mojo against Kansas State
Just stop. De'Andre Hunter, your 6 man who averaged 9 ppg, breaking his wrist doesn't make make your team injury riddled. And they were only emotionally distraught after they got whooped by a 16 seed. Yes UMBC played good, but they didn't play great. The reason you lost is because you sucked. You didn't move the ball around, you missed open shots, and you played bad defence. If you guys played at all like you did in the other 33 games, you would've won. Stop trying to make it seem like you had no chance.
Deandre Hunter's injury-
If you think that the Hunter injury did not heavily swing the game, then you are wrong. He was Virginia's best shooter, most versatile defender, and their 2nd most athletic player. He was also their biggest NBA prospect as a lot of people had him going in the first round of this years draft class and I've seen mock drafts for 2019 where he's gone as far as 4th, https://collegebasketball.nbcsports.com/2018/06/22/2019-nba-mock-draft/. He was Virginia's answer to every defense opposing teams threw at them :
-Small ball (Hunter towered over other guards with his 6'7 height and 7'2 wingspan)
-Going big (The average PF in college is about Hunter's height but they typically aren't as fast as Hunter so he could just blow right by them)
-Zone defenses (Hunter was about an 80% foul shooter, watch the second UVA vs. Syracuse game to see what I mean)
-Man to man (Like I said originally you couldn't put anybody on him)
He made one of the best coach in all of sports history (Coach K), who wouldn't play zone defense against Ralph Sampson (One of the best college players ever). Suddenly play zone against Hunter, then he proceeded to rip that zone to shreds. Hell Coach K even said after he was asked about the UMBC game, that Hunter was one of the best players in the ACC and said that he expected Virginia to struggle because of the loss of Hunter. And even Ryan Odom (UMBCs head coach) said that with Hunter, the game would've been completely different. There's a reason why in each of Virginia's losses it was because of Hunter:
West Virginia: Hunter had confidence problems early in the season and barely played
Virginia Tech: The only team Virginia played that knew how to stop Hunter
UMBC: The one game Hunter did not play in
Also you can't bring up stats because Hunter's stats are heavily deflated from his 1st half of the season (when he had confidence issues) and he plays for the slowest paced teams in all of college basketball.
Coach K played zone against Syracuse stfu
Yes, but he started playing zone because Hunter was single handily murdering Duke's man to man defense. He started doing it against other teams because he thought it was the better defense with his roster.
"Single handily??" he was their 4th leading scorer and they only won by 2.
I highly recommend you watch the Duke vs. UVA game and it will show you how good Hunter was as a mismatch nightmare
he scored 12 points that game
Yes, and exposed Bagley while doing it
Bagley scored 30 and grabed 14 rebounds. I don't think he was getting exposed
Watch the game, the entire Duke defense got exposed
You only scored 65 points, I don't call that exposing. Plus you prolly would've lost if it hadn't been from a luck deep three
1. 65 points while playing the slowest tempo ever
2. Ty Jerome is the clutchest player in college basketball, that shot was skill
You saying that the only reason UVA lost was because of his injury? Thats just ridiculous. I admit that he was a big part of their team, but great teams should be able to figure out how to play basketball without their 6 man
Technically, yes, if Hunter was not injured then Virginia would've won. This was not a game where UMBC came out and dominated for the full 40 minutes, hell they were tied at halftime. I do believe if Hunter wasn't injured, it would've created a domino effect, where Virginia would've had a solid offensive first half, while UMBC had a bad one, and that would've carried over to less pressure heading into the second half. After Hunter went down, the team was destroyed both physically and emotionally. Believe it or not, I was at the game (Probably like 5 rows behind the UMBC bench) and when Virginia came out to do their shoot arounds, they had a deer in the headlights look to them. They looked devastated and they were clearly scared about being the first 1 to lose to a 16. Those worries were clearly amplified at halftime when it was tied at 21. I'd suggest to look at Kyle Guy's journal about the whole situation. Also, I do agree that a great team would be able to still win with an injury, but not in such a short notice. Hunter's injury was announced 2 days before the UMBC game and another player Virginia would've utilized, Jay Huff (Probably Virginia's most offensively skilled player, but he's a defensive liability), who has proven to dominate lesser competition, got injured literally a day before the game. And, usually after a major injury like Hunter, a team struggles the very next game. Clemson (a 4th seed without their best player) had to play Virginia as their first game without their best player. Clemson ended up losing 61-36 and Virginia made them look like they didn't know how to play the game of basketball.
I don't understand why fans of teams try to prove that their team is good. If you like the team, why can't you tell people why you like the team or why you like the players in it, not just bragging about how good your team is. My top three teams are the Nuggets, Kings, and Pacers. The Pacers have potential, the Nuggets are average, but the Kings might not make the playoffs in about 3-7 years unless if they trade for a good player (not that they don't have a good player) or draft a good rookie. Marvin Bagley III could be good but we dont know yet. The bottom line is I love the Kings but i'm not complaining. And also the Cavaliers are one of my top 7ish teams and i'm not bragging at all. So uvafan i'm not getting mad at you or anything, but I would encourage you to maybe not make points about how good your team is.
When in my points did I ever mention about how "great" UVA is? All I'm saying about the UMBC game is that Virginia was destroyed by all these injuries and fell apart in their next game back. I never brought up the dominance of Virginia.
My point is that why are people arguing over "my team would have won but there were injuries" but can't they just appreciate their team for what it is? not argue over who would've won what and who got injured and all that. Also about DeAndre Hunter being injured, I believe that any injury hurts a team, even if it isn't an important player. But just like billbillbillbill said, if one player gets injured, that doesn't make your team injury riddled. also, why do you always bring up Malcolm Brogdon as the most dominant player, the GOAT, etc. and your GOAT farm all plays for uva. Is there any bias involved in that?
Virginia was injury riddled-
Kyle Guy: This may be a little irrelevant because he did dominate the ACC tournament with a knee injury he suffered in the last game of the regular season, it clearly affected him. You couldn't really see it on TV but from a fan's perspective, up close to the court, you could tell that Guy was walking differently and his knee was clearly bothering him
Isiah Wilkins: This is kind of another one that Virginia did well without (because Hunter emerged as an offensive and defensive threat after) but Wilkins had a back injury in the middle of the season against Clemson. Pre-injury, Wilkins was a defensive monster who'd turn the opponents best offensive big into a struggling basketball player who was practically out of the other teams offense. You can look at the stats of Wilkins matchups and you can tell that there's a huge gap in the stats, I'll give you the 2 examples of the matchups Wilkins had pre and post injury-
Luke Maye:
Pre-injury: 6 points
Post-injury: 20 points
Ben Lammers:
Pre-Injury: 4 points
Post-injury: 22 points
Deandre Hunter: Already brought it up like a thousand times so moving on...
Jay Huff: Probably Virginia's best offensive player would've played a major role in Virginia's "potential" tournament run, however, he got injured a day before the UMBC game
Also remember when Louisville's best player got injured in the elite eight in 2013. They didn't choke like uva losing their 6 man did they?
Yeah, but they had a week to prepare while Virginia had 2 days. Also, I'm pretty sure Louisville's backup 4.5 PPG Point guard doesn't compare to Deandre Hunter, a player who 14 other teams (including Duke and UNC) had no answer for on the offensive end. I'll give Louisville credit, they hung in there and kept their emotions in check. But, they had a lot Juniors and Seniors who have been there before, Virginia only had 3 players who were upperclassmen (Nigel Johnson doesn't count) and they never faced adversity quite like losing Hunter
A 4th seed losing their best player is a lot different than the "best team in the country" losing their SIX MAN. They started EVERY game without him and did fine, against UMBC they just choked and played terribly.
Yeah Hunter was Virginia's 6th man, but the only reason why he didn't start is that Isaiah Wilkins was a much better defender and he was a senior. Hunter was Virginia's best player and he was the perfect 6th man and he's the real reason why Virginia gained this "best team in the nation" label.
If your best player only scores 9 ppg, and your the best team in the league, then you must have a very good core around him. A core that should be able to beat a 16 seed
Again, like I said, you can't judge Hunter's stats. He had a horrendous 1st half of the season (Like I said before, he had confidence problems) and he plays for the slowest paced team in the country so his numbers are heavily deflated. He was Virginia's best player because no one in a conference that had Duke and UNC had the ability to stop Hunter on offense.
You shot 18% from three, You had 5 TOTAL asists, and you let them score 53 second half points. THATS WHY YOU FUCKING LOST!
Yes, they played terrible and UMBC played amazing, I'm not denying that. All I'm saying is that if Hunter or hell, maybe even Jay Huff had played, the game would've looked completely different.
http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/game?gameId=400990004
That's what 3 point shooting teams experience. I don't see why that game is always mentioned. When a team lives and dies off of 3s, they are going to have awful nights (2/20 from 3). That game was not that Albany was 10X better than UMBC, it was the fact that one team had an amazing night from 3 and the other had a horrendous night. This UMBC team kept it relatively close against a fully healthy Arizona team that was shooting 61% from the field 54% from 3.
Someone will shoot 0/20 with this card lmaooo
Yes Like Melo Mash
LMAOOOOOOOO
Caldy's like if this is the thing i can't wait for the same curry or durant
Played MT for the first time in months because I was able to get MJ and Lebron for like 40-50k each. Got blown out by Giannis at the point going 18/18 from the field.
Put LBJ at point to counter
Muahahaha just might try that. I really could have used a center that is over 7 feet, as well.
