The Klaw

Written by ManagMantis

I want to start off by saying that Kawhi Leonard is one of my favorite players and I believe hes the best two-way player in the NBA today.I was quite happy when Amy Kawhi was released and he was going for around 20k(pc) at release so I just had to get him and see he was as good as the actual Klaw.

Bought for: 22k mt(pc)

  • Inside scoring: Hes got HoF relentless finisher and 93 layup so he can definitely get some buckets through contact inside. His layup animations arent special but his dunking animations are a mix between athletic and effective which I find really nice. What I surprisingly like most about this cards inside scoring is his post fadeway. This year, post fadeways and hooks are too contested to be consistent but kawhi┬┤s shimmy fades get green light almost every time I post up with him.

  • Mid range: His mid game should be higher imo but hes still money from anywhere inside the 3 point line. His release is easy to green when you get it down and once you do,this man will proceed to go bald and change his jersey number to 23.(someone tell me how to stop this, he keeps wasting my mt on gambling after games). For real though, add a shoe that boosts his moving mid to 99 and he goes berserk.

  • Defense: His defense is elite and he can defend from pg to pf,but Im really pissed that 2k gave him Hof pick pocket and 79 steal. They gave Isaiah Thomas 92 steal who averaged 0.9 steals with the Celtics but then give Kawhi Leonard, a DPOY, 79 steal when he averages 1.8 steals for his career, never averaging less then 1.3 steals in a season.Hope 2K updates his steal like they did Moncrief.

  • 3pt shooting: He can knock down open 3s consistently.Hes a great catch and shoot type player so dont try playing him like Curry.

  • Athleticism: He feels fast for a Kawhi card.He isnt as fast a Diamond Lebron but his fast enough to start(and stop) fast breaks which is all you really need.

  • Rebounding: He isnt particularly tall and is rebounding stats arent that great so you if you want to use him at pf for some reason, keep in mind his rebounding.

  • Ball control: I dont find ball control that much of a weakness but some people might have wanted to speed boost with him.

Recommended Strategy: "Post up, catch and shoot, mid range pull-up, fastbreaks"

Use if: "You want an elite defender that can score "

Don't use if: "You want a more offensive small foward"

Bottom Line: "If it wasnt for bitch ass Zaza we could have a Diamond Kawhi by now"
