Now hear me out before y'all lose your shit

    1) Kawhi is the best player easily, dominant both ways, great rebounder, underrated passer, just lead the Raptors to their first ever finals victory while having the third most points in a postseason ever

    2) KD and Bron is very close, and KD wont play this upcoming season, but KD really showed how much Golden State needed him this past post season, and I think it really added value to his rings

    3) LeBron is still a top 3 player in the league, and although he's not unanimously the best anymore, he is still a major threat to claim the throne as the leader of a revamped Lakers roster

I feel like Giannis and Harden filling out the top 5 is pretty fair, and imo Harden is better than Curry, but Curry has room to prove he is a dominant force without KD or Klay healthy this upcoming season

    7) Paul George over Jokic, Embiid and AD may seem crazy, but we are talking about a guy who just averaged 28-8-4 and was a candidate for MVP and DPOY, I can't see how that fails to make you better than AD, who was benched all year, Embiid, who was great but is worse than PG defensively and offensively, and Jokic, who is great on offense but still has much room to improve on defense

and by benched I mean a significant minute cut, not quite benched, but AD didnt play nearly as much. Again, these are mostly based off last season, except for players that were injured all of last year such as Porzingis on my other lists.

This is respectable list, good one!

    1

Very good list. Very much agree, especially with #1

    0

Bron still #1, Steph wayy too low

    1

Steph has yet to prove he can hit a big shot after the 82nd game of the season, and Bron did not assert himself as number 1 last year. KD and Kawhi had remarkable runs in the playoffs while LeBron was sidelined.

Fair point, then I would have KD > Kawhi by that criteria

    1

no, since Kawhi had a greater playoff run

    0

No way, KD was on the verge of being the only player to avg 35 with 50/40/90 splits alongside elite defense/passing. Don't tell me otherwise he was definitely better

Doesnt matter, Kawhi averaged 30 for a WHOLE playoffs, staying healthy, leading his team from down at least 1 game in each series (except the finals) while having the third most points in a playoff run ever alongside elite defense and far better clutch performance than KD. Kawhis run ended in a ring, KDs didnt.

    1

I’m pretty sure he played sick in game 2 against the magic

    0

You did not just say that the ring is what separates them, omg.....

    0

Kawhi got the underdog the ring, while playing just as well if not better on both ends of the ball for longer, he finished with the third most points for a playoff run EVER. That is better than what KD did in the first 10 games.

But you have to understand how historic KD's offseason was on pace to be. He was literally about to avg what he did in the 2017 finals for a WHOLE run (with added passing he developed recently)

I'm playing out this hypothetical cuz ik KD is proven, and he'd only elevate what was already an MJ-dominant postseason

    0

But did he finish? No. And thats final. What if matters nothing to me in a list based off of performance they showed in real games, not hypothetical ones.

KD does so much more than Kawhi it's ridiculous to say he's worse due to injury.. you even know how much more comfortable KD can score/dish. He's equally switchable on defense too considering his length/size, quick on his feet and is a better rim protector (Kawhi often gets lazy and doesn't vertically contest)

    0

I mean, Kawhi is the better defender and rebounder, passing isnt too far off and neither is scoring. You're honestly sleeping on Kawhi.

I wouldn't put KD above Bron, but other than that I'll take the list

Depends on what you include, some people still like to count 2018 LeBrons playoff run as something he couldve done if healthy
