D'Angelo Russell was the biggest trade mistake by the LA Lakers, and has turned out better than Brandon Ingram will ever be. Lonzo's still up in the air, but D'Lo is a borderline all-star this season and will lead this Nets squad for years to come

    47

we got kuzma out of it

    61

the lakers had the 28th pick originally and traded for the 27th.... they would have gotten kuzma either way

    11

I love ur name, and completely agree

    8

that doesn't mean that the brooklyn nets weren't gonna take kuzma for the 27th pick

    3

For real?? I might be biased cuz I've always loved using D'Lo on 2K, but I think D'Lo's a way better leader, also ya'll got him way later, Lakers might've had another late 1st and took Kyle with that anyway

    1

ya but still kuzma shows more flashes in his second year

    2

Eh, I like D'Lo's versatility more, also he's a much better leader and proven starter than Kyle imo

    0

kuzma averging almost 18 points w/ LEBRON and even if you don't count the games where lebrons out he still averging 18 pts

    0

Uh well that doesn't have anything to do with my point other than he can score

    0

PGs are supposed to be leaders especially if the franchise makes you there main guy

    0

    and he did that lol

    0

kuzma is a better ovr player he is ok for handling the ball as a 4 he can drive and when he gets hot from three its wet. but d'angelo can be very very inconsistent (Not that kuzma can't be) and he is in his 4th year where Towns and Porzingis have shown to be much better and he will have a great game like 30 and 8 assists and then he'll have 11 and 5 assists so really the only consistent part of his game is his playmaking

    0

Porzingis been injured all year and he never proved shit lmao, Towns is a good center tho. Also D'angelo does all of that, but wins games?

    0

and also first the Kuzma, and Towns are in a much tougher western conference, and D'Angelo is not carrying the Nets to the playoffs he is a big factor but there bench, rim protecting and ovr team is pretty good

    0

currently the nets are in the 6th seed in the east and he's like the only good player other then dinwiddie and maybe allen?

    0

look at there roster they have a ton of good role players surrounding him

    0

i am looking at their roster theyre all mediocre lmao

    0

    look at my second comment

    0

The Nets have been having injury issues as well with their 'good' role players lmao, they've been starting Treveon fucking Graham and Joe Harris, one which is a G-league player, and the other who was a bench warmer on the Cavs. None of their players are exceptionally good besides Dinwiddie and D'Lo, which makes up 75% of their offense night in, night out. Also, Jarrett Allen is solid but he's a defensive presence

Kyle's team is missing LBJ, but everyone else is there, still can't win consistently.

KAT's team is missing... no one, and still won't make the playoffs

    0

were not just missing lebron were missing zo and rondo to of our best playmakers

    0

U recently lost Zo, idk when Rondo went out but he's kinda meh.

Nets have lost Caris Levert who was their best scorer at the start of the season, and Allen Crabbe whose a pretty consistent shooter for their team

    0

omg stop about levert he's good but he played like 15 games and we lost 3 of our best playmakers which you need on a winning team

    0

Rondo played last night, Ball's the 2nd best player you lost, but you have plenty of veteran talent, and young talent on the team. Caris Levert came out immediately as the team's best scorer, also you think Kristaps is better than D'Lo without playing a single game this season lmao that's a hypocritical statement you just made

    0

where Michael Beasily and lance are a veteran talent wtf

    0

    ?
You never watched basketball, Lance was one of the most pivotal players on a great Pacers team back when they were giving Lebron's Heat a bit of a challenge.

Beasley's proven himself to be one of the best bench pure scorers in the league with his various stints around the league, most recently in New York

Tyson Chandler is a former DPOY, and beat LBJ in the 2011 NBA Finals as a Maverick

Javale Mcgee's proven to be a consistent interior defender, and still has the ability to throw down some mean jams, and is particularly fast for a 7 footer

Worst player on the Lakers is KCP

    0

no stop javale before the warriors season was a joke, lance is known for blowing in ears and isos, beasily has been a joke his whole career, and tyson is really the only certified veteran

    1

LMAO, Lance was not a joke, his antics were funny. He's an energy guy and he was a great perimeter defender lmao, dude was like Tony Allen if some of Allen's defensive talent was offense.

Javale wasn't a joke, ur an idiot for beliving Shaqtin a fool dictates player's careers. Javale was always a rim protector, and lob threat. He's been to the slam dunk contest and used to be a full-time starter in Washington and Denver, but asthma's limited his minutes his whole career.

    1

who said lance was a joke

    1

I misread, I skimmed over Beasley, my bad. Beasley's not really a joke, it was his work ethic that kept him out the league, you can check his stats he's always been a consistent scorer, its just been that his motivation was never there, he did great on the Knicks in the absence of Kristaps and as a big SF

    1

IK but beasily was the number 2 pick and was supposed to be a great fit with dwade on the heat as a superstar and not just a role player which was very disappointing

    0

again it was his work ethic, also he averaged 13.9 his rookie season on 47.2% accuracy. He then left went to Minny and averaged 19 ppg on 45%, then he got injured and was benched, still averaged 11 ppg on 23 mpg that season thru 47 games

    0

He was a joke cuz he was calling himself the best basically saying "I'm your favorite player's favorite player."

    0

    he is doe, B-easy GOAT

    0

    [Deleted]

    0

That...literally means he took life like a joke. Until now...

    1

naw he kept getting injured, had frustrations with coaches and was more focused on himself, then caring ab his production on the court. He's always been a bucket his whole career, just a mental thing where he thinks he's too good for the sport/team

    0

Lance's best statistical season in which the Pacers won 56 games, he averaged 13.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg, and 4.6 apg, on 49.1% FG shooting, and 35.2% from 3.

Javale's best season he averaged 11.3 ppg, 7.8 rpg, and 2.2 bpg on 55.6% shooting while only starting 45 games

    0

that doesn't mean anything if they're all average lmao russell and dinwiddie do like 90% of their scoring

    0

    correct

    0

stop u don't even watch the nets

    0

    u a big nets fan?

    0

no but I watch a ton of basketball

    0

and I have the nets channel

    0

AND i enjoy watching a former laker

    0

and they have very high chemistry everyone touches the ball

    0

D'Lo's far and away the offensive catalyst, and you have to score to win

    0

they also have Spencer Dinwiddie which he can have explosive games and could easily start for them

    0

He wouldn't start over D'Lo for many reasons but ok

    0

but they would still be in almost the same position w/o him

    0

Lmao, you're so wrong but ok pal

    0

    nigga u like 10

    0

    wait what, I'm 18 lmao

    IDIOM ALERT

    0

    idiom or idiot fuck head

    0

Porzingis, before he was injured was one of the best 4s in the league and definitely proved to be better then D'Angelo.

    0

3 years proves nothing, all he's shown is that he's injury prone

    0

y is he there most popular jersey, y is he the face of the Knicks.

last year before he got injured he played little more than half the season and averaged 22 pts and 7 rebounds and had 18 pts and 7 rebounds the year before

    0

The Knicks suck thats why lmao, their best players are 3 rookies

    0

right but aks anyone and they'll tell u he's better

    0

Nah Kristaps can't even run anymore

    0

You take Lebron out and just compare the young talent, I’d say the Nets have been playing better this year, which is really impressive considering they lost all those picks.

    0

They’re playing incomparably better, LA is terrible without Bron whereas Brooklyn is 17-5 over their last 22

    7

I don't know why people argue about this, I mean, all you gotta do is look at who's producing results and you'll get your answer, and in this case, dlo is better

    3

nice and simple, the Lakers w/ all their supposed talent is doing worse than D'Lo with not nearly as much as the Lakers have.

    Show 24 replies...
    0

we're doin worse cuz we have injury promblems

    0

You were doing worse before the injuries, Nets lost Caris early

    0

no we weren't actually weren't we were doin better and we were the 5th seed in the west and the nets were the 7th or 8th seed in the east

    0

Lakers has a top 2 player of all-time on their team, the Nets have D'Lo, Jarrett Allen, and Spencer Dinwiddie. Nets are a better team by far lmao

    0

bro ur tellin me if the Lakers (HEALTHY) and the Nets matched up in the playoffs a 7 games series that the Nets would win

    0

As I said, Lebron is on the Lakers? He's the only reason the time was ever above .500 w/o Lebron Lakers is a lotto team, which is what makes the Nets better as a unit since they've sustained injuries and are still a playoff candidate

    0

obv because the lakers are to young to be consistent and don't have any veteran scoring machines that aren't lebron

    0

And the Nets don't either? Spencer is 25 and D'Lo is 22 lmao, still better than the Los Angeles Lebrons smh

    0

the only other ones are allen and kurcus

    0

who else on the nets is that young

    0

Caris Levert, Allen, Kurucs, Musa, D'Lo, Spencer, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Joe Harris, Theo Pinson (just dropped 19 in a win), Alan Williams (former Suns PF/C), and Treveon Graham (solid 3 n D guy).

Guys above 25 are Allen Crabbe (26), Shabazz Napier (27), Ed Davis (29), Jared Dudley, and Demarre Carroll who are both above 30

    0

Lonzo is 21, Ingram 21, Kuzma 23, Ivica Zubac 21, KCP is only 25, Hart is 23, Svi is 21, Wagner 21, and Jonathan is 23. The rest is Lance 28, McGee 31, Tyson 36, Beasley 30, and Rondo 32.

Joe Harris 27, Trevon Graham and Alan Williams are both 25.
The only people on that team under 24 are Theo, Kurucs, D'Lo, and Jarret Allen, not counting caris levert cuz he's hurt

    0

And Nets still winning more games

    0

because they're not as young and know how to win without a superstar

    0

Rondo's won a chip, Tyson's won a chip, Javale's won a chip, Lance did stuff in the playoffs, Beasley's the only one whose never seen success.

The only guy on the Nets that's done anything notable is Demarre Carroll on a 60 win Hawks team, that got swept by Lebron

    0

rondo has only played 15 games, Javale won a chip cuz he was on the WARRIORS, Tyson is 36. and more than half there roster is 25 and under.

    0

Ok what does age have to do with knowing how to win w/o a superstar dingus? No one the Nets have even done anything notable with their careers and they're still better than the Lakers lmao

    0

they don't have a lot of experience in the NBA is what it means

    0

They have plenty of vets on the team that have seen it all lmao, the two oldest guys on the Nets are Dudley and Carroll who were never special, and always role players. Mostly everyone else are G-league alums, and players that the Nets have morphed into valuable role players. Lakers have youth, and potential and still can't win games

    0

so again your telling me the nets would beat the lakers in a playoff series

    0

    w/o Lebron 100%, w Lebron no

    0

    btw we gettin AD

    0

it would be close in my opinion but i do think the nets would beat us w/o lebron definitely not a sweep

    1

I don't think D'Lo would've had as big of a boost in skill if he hadn't gotten traded

    1

Lakers traded him to get rid of Mosgov's contract more than get rid of him. With Mosgovs contract, they wouldn't be able to sign a 2nd star. Also, Lakers got Josh Hart (or Kuzma) out of the pick. While Russell is a good offensive player, he is a major defensive liability as well. Guarantee you the lakers don't regret this trade

    0

The league has moved on from defense, and its been proven every game this season that it doesn't take precedent, thats why every season all-defense teams change, while all-NBA stays the same. D'Lo is a better player currently than anyone the Lakers have drafted in the past 4 years.

    0

plzzzzz tell this man that honestly

    Show 1 more reply...
    0

    TY!!!!!!!!!

    0

    wow what a crazy change

    0

ight if u think about it without bron Ingram’s been averageing 20 a game and had been showing an all around game. I respect Dlo but he is on a cheap team and should be the leading scorer. He’s putting up 19.2 points per game and I think in his prime he won’t be better than Ingram just cause how lengthy and tall Ingram can be which makes him an all around guy since he can get deflections blocks and score at will. Ingram can also handle the ball really well and when he played pg last year he averaged around 20 points and 6 assist while playing 30 minutes. I respect dlo and all but I think Ingram will be better over their careers

    -2

Possibly, or Ingram falls into a Wiggins type development path. I like Ingram as a player and a person he doesn't seem particularly lazy, but i just dont see his ceiling being all that high unless he shows a willingness to change his physique and become a physical force. D'Lo doesn't play on a cheap team btw, the Lakers w/o Lebron have been stagnant all around, while D'Lo's Nets are vying for a play spot with an above .500 record.

    Show 4 replies...
    1

Preach!!! I would like to see Ingram get the same growth as Giannis did and play more bully ball

    1

agree, Ingram's body is too soft for the type of game he excels at

    1

Yup, that's unfortunate because he is one hell of a player

    -1

he's alright, i never saw him becoming a top 10 player in the league, but if he did I'd be thoroughly impressed

    0

    Or will he...?

Remember, DINWIDDIE is the one on a contract extension, NOT him.

    1

Lmao Nets are smart, they wouldn't bank on Dinwiddie, he's a great 6 man, but he's not nearly quick enough to be a #1 one in this league imo

    0

also on ingram, your right D'angelo is beter but Ingrams in his third year and he's only 20 playing w/ lebron and can show real flashes just needs to work on his game alot more which he has ALOT of time to do

    4

D'angelo's in his 4th year and he's only 22... so they both got plenty of time, but D'Lo's shown it earlier on

    Show 6 replies...
    1

because he got traded to a franchise that made him the main guy and the main scorer they gave him a big opportunity

    1

Ingram was supposed to be KD, he pretty much had Andrew Wiggins hype, but he's not gonna come to half as good as KD, offensively atleast, Ingram's a pretty solid defender

    0

yah definitely not KD but not Wiggins he has alot more potential

    0

also Russell averaged 15 pts last year :l

    0

D'Lo's team is in the playoffs, Lakers w/o Lebron is a lottery team, and thats been proven this year

    0

shit they beat the thunder and barely lost to the rockets because ball got hurt

    0

also the Lakers gave up Randle for nothing (averging 20.1... more than russell where he's not even the best player on the team.... russell is)

    0

They wanted to keep the 2 max slots open for next year

    0

D'Lo's a more versatile player in a more coveted position, on a better team (record-wise)

    Show 7 replies...
    0

Pelicans are filled with injuries and inconsistent players and D'Angelo would not be havin those numbers with another star

    0

Uh he probably would, but shoot a bit more efficienty, but he's still winning more games than AD/Randle/Holiday/Mirotic, without Caris Levert

    0

mirotic and holiday have been hurt

    0

idk who told u that ab Holiday he's played every game this season and is averaging career highs, Mirotic on the other hand has missed 16 games in total

    0

i meant elfrid payton their starting pg

    0

Payton is easily replaceable lol, Holiday was the PG and now he's the PG again

    0

    no there starting lineup is
    Payton PG
    Holiday SG
    Etwan Moore SF
    Julius Randle PF and
    Anthony Davis C

    -1

I mean...if Ingram was on the Nets and getting the most touches on the team I think he would be having a similar breakout to Dlo. However, he's on lebron's team now. Also, Dlo's defense is still ass cheek.

    1

    ty but he's not ass

    -2

lopez left anyway so the lakers had a trade regret there

    0

they made that trade so that way they could have lonzo at the PG instead of D'Angelo and if Lopez did good they were gonna resign him but he didn't so they didn't give him a offer

imagine, trading ingram instead of russell, and drafting tatum, having a team consisting of Bron, Tatum, Russell, Kuzma, Mcgee, and Hart. Then they couldve snuck a trade for ad of tatum, Hart, and 2 1st rounders

If you wanna win with the Nets, pass the ball to Joe Harris

    Nets legend

    -4

This dude really bought vc and went crazy

    -6

Shooting looks nice, but no HOF badges, bad tendencies, horrible defending, and no post will keep this card pretty cheap. Also will help that Klay hype will cause a lot of Dlos to be pulled.

    -1

No post really that's what's gonna make this card cheap. I doubt that will effect price at all. You should have just stuck with the klay hype and no dunking will make it cheap. Would have sounded good. Sometimes trying to add more to a point to make it stronger just makes it sound pointless

    0

Versatility offensively absolutely affects price. You're dumb as fuck. I gave you 4 reasons this card won't be expensive. If you don't use the post, that's fine, but if this card could post up that's at least one more dimension to him being that he's already not gonna drive very well.

    HorribLe Defending????

    -3

    what the point of tendencies?
