Mitchell isn't a better defender by any means. Ben Simmons was one of the best defenders this years playoffs, and he had to guard Kawhi. Ben lead the league in blocked 3s and brings a presence in the post and in rim protecting. Mitchell can't compare to Ben on defense considering Ben is 6'10. And should I give a shit about flashy dunks? Ben is still an amazing dunker, the fact that he isn't flashy is safer and better actually. Comes down to the fact that Bens a better passer, rebounder, and defender, and shoots a much much much better fg%.

First two defiantly? Lmao. Let's start with Mr. Jayson Tatum, the man that averages less points, assists, rebounds, and is a worse defender than Ben Simmons. The man that Celtics fans argued is better than Simmons because of a single playoffs series last year. Well in the playoffs this year, Tatum did worse than Simmons (the man who people say chokes in playoffs situations) in the playoffs. Besides shooting, Tatum has nothing going for him sorry dude. Than we are on to Donovan Mitchell, the only man who can put up an argument to Simmons. Obviously, Mitchell is a better scorer than Ben, mostly because he puts up double the shots as Ben does. And besides the scoring, Ben is miles ahead of Mitchell in any other category. Ben is a far far far better passer an rebounder. Not to mention that Donovan is also basically a liability on defense compared to Ben who is mostly an elite defender. Now, all these players are likely to be stars someday and I'm really rooting and looking forward to watching these dudes develop, but I'm sorry Ben is right now better than any of them.

Mitchell is the better defender no doubt and when looking at the advanced stats I saw that Ben's Defensive Efficiency was worse than mitchell's. By 3.6 and thats lot defensive wise. also giannis was a better 3 point shooter percentage wise last season than he was this season and gianis was a .347 percent three point shooter in his rookie season simmons hasn't even shot enough threes in his two seasons combined to register for a percent
If Ben Simmons plays like he did in his first 2 seasons for the rest of his career he will be 37th on the all-time scoring list, 5th in the all-time assist list, and I forget where he is on rebounding but he is up there in the top 50. All this in his first 2 NBA seasons at 22 years old. All these fans giving up on these young dudes is a real problem in today's NBA. Look at somebody like D'Angelo Russell, or Buddy Hield. Players need time to develop. Ben can certainly develop a mid range or 3 point shot before 27 or 28. Obviously he won't be curry but he can at least hit 25-30% of them. He has the potential to do it he just needs the confidence. I also didnt even mention Bens elite defense

Honestly shouldn’t even be mad. Game is dying down, has like 4 months before 2k20. They’re just going all out for the end when it doesn’t mean shit and the game is full of cheesers anyways.
