i dont get why they release cards like these in the current state of the game.
make amethyst league, ruby league, diamond league etc with position locks so cards like these can be used.

    2

for the people who bought this game last week for $3, some people just started my team a few days ago.

    0

they can get a better card than this. Charlie Scott is a PD, taller, better stats, not sure if more badges and is only 8k or less, and you can also buy the guaranteed diamond and pd packs, so why have this card again?

    0

not only that but there are way better diamond PG's and cards than this one, just because of the size difference.

    0

to have a pg on my current lakers squad thats usable and cheap.

    1

Then penny and magic going for 5 million mt if they do position lock

    6

but you would only play vs them on the PD division. you know? like actual balanced matchmaking?

    0

2k will never do that, if they add divisions there will be no point for anyone to spend the money for new higher raited cards. but 2k wants to make money, they want us to buy packs, and most of us will cos there is no place to hide, if you dont want your uss kicked all the time you will either spend the money or grind the game to make mt or tokens.

    0

what? 2k wants to make money??? how about they make money while giving us FAIR GAMES and making a GOOD game, why am I going up against 15 galaxy opals when i dont even have one?
and wouldnt you just use the new higher rated card on the league it belongs, while playing the lower rated on the lower rated league????

    0

There is simple logic in this game - the guy who paid the most money have the best chance to win. This is called "pay to win", its the best way to earn money for 2k, if a player wants to win he buys packs. 2k wants you to matchup against 15 galaxy opals, they want you to scream in agony so you start spend you money on packs.
The deal is that the higher rated cards are rarer than lower rated, its so obvious, right? to get them you need to put an effort and you money to it, but if you have other divisions you can choose to not spend you money and buy budget cards to play in a budget league.
You cant understand cos you're a budget baller and you wont spend your money buying packs anyway and its okay but there is a lot of guys who spend their money on packs and if 2k adds different divisions some of that money spending dudes may stop buying packs and for 2k it will be a massive hit, their income will be decreased immensely.

    0

its pay to win cause players take the "easy" way out, game takes too long to feel somewhat okay. from how long it takes to unlock your attributes in MyCareer, to getting a good lineup on MyTeam.

Also why are normal players called "budget baller" or "budget players" im just playing the game like anyone else, a normal player, i simply dont spend my money to get that 1 OP card, because im not dumb and im not trying to get views.

    0

i dont spend my money on this game too and i got a full GO lineup with some PD's here and there, and i play casually like 3 times a week. cards are very cheap at this time of the year and a lot of affordable PD's can easely compete with opals. also there were a lot of locker codes with PD's and opals and 2k even put opals in the TTO board, its all made for the "normal" player to compete with the god squads. i think 2k did a great job with a free content this year and everybody can have competetive lineup. if your lineup is in the bad shape, it is only because of your lack of effort. also i can see why a "normal" player can not compete against a guy who spends the money. most of the time people who spends the money are spending a lot of time playing the game too and they got the best skills because of it. most of the time i loose to the god squad not because the guy have a better squad but because he plays very well too.

    0

I dont think we play the same game then, because players who have better players than I do are always worse than me, they let cpu play defense for them, they spam steal on defense (when they on-ball) with their high steal rating players, full court press, zig zag, dont run plays BUT somehow are better than me and win...

    0

maaan, this time of the year and you still complaining about basic stuff... somehow people still sticking to true onball and proud about it, you think it gives you a medal or what? everybody cheese to be competetive, this is how the game works. just learn the game. im not an offball fan but if they offball you why not do the same to them, if you still dont know how to switch between offball and onball you did a bad job learning to play the game, it still takes a skill to switch between onball and offball, cos offball can be easely beaten by smart players. you too can spam steal with a lot of cheap PD's, they have high steal rating too. when your opp spams just protect the ball, be smart about it and patient, use L2 everytime you get a rebound and you'll be fine. i dont know how you can say that you're better than them if you can not break a full court press and complaining about it, im always happy when poeple full court press me, you can easely break it, you can just turn your brains off when they full court press, its that easy, just inboud to your pg then pass to your sg, and he will always beat his defender and you get a 3 on 2 fastbreak everytime, you dont even have to run plays then. offball if u can not keep up with zigzag, nobody is perfect, latency in online mods makes onball very hard, just try out different things to learn what is effective for every situation, learn from your opponent, try to grind for cheap effective PD's, and you'll be competetive. running plays doesnt make you a better player then your opponent, it's all about knowing the game, the meta, knowing what's efective and what's working, being able to adjust to every opponent, using different defenses, knowing how to break cheesy defense, stopping cheesy offense. i know the game is not fair but i dont understand people who complain about it, just learn the game.

    0

"complain about basic stuff" dude i had stop when you said that, how is letting the cpu carry you and you winning basic stuff??? im just a normla player that comes from other games trying to play fair and fun games yet this game provides none of those (most of the time), so I expect basic non bullshit gameplay when i first play a game, that does not happen with 2k.

    0

a lot of the things that i was talking about earlier are basic stuff for everybody who plays the game to grind and play since september, cos game was out a long time ago. they are not basic for beginners obviously

    0

you came to the wrong place then, this is not a casual game when you play online mods just to play the game, nobody does that, in this game everybody are grinding, folks try to achieve goals like collect enough tokens for rewards, make MT to buy a card, and it takes a looooot of the time, so everybody searching easy ways to win, cos most of the players are only grinding, most of the time they doesnt care about a fair gameplay with a random guy on unlimited. so what im suggesting is learn the game, put a time to it if you wanna be competetive, otherwise it will be just toxic for you. a lot of the guys with full GO teams playing this game non stop and you're just a guy who comes from other games and also saying that you better than them cos you run plays or smth, it's just hilarious to me, if you're not winning you're not better. all im trying to say that fun games that you're searching for can be possible only against your friends, most players play online mods to grind and take quick W's and they will do everything they know, everything they learn since september to get it.

    0

also "if you are not winning you are not better", again? really? HOW am I going to defeat a team that has Galaxy Opals when i only have 5 PDs? where's the matchmaking in that? HOW is someone that lets the CPU play defense for them, better than me? PLEASE give me an actual explanation.
HOW is someone skilled/good/better than me when they have the better team, run cheesy strats, abuse the servers delay with left to right movement, "trail cheese" with tall 3pt shooters and play off-ball?????

Dont even start with the "oh ItS a TthInG SInCe SpETembeR, tHEY HAVe BEEn plAYiNg FOr LoNger TiME" like pls, i played nba2k16 and people off-balled all the time too, except 2k16 had a matchmaker.

Just because im not a regular 2k player doesnt mean i cant be/am not better than the "pros" or than most people. I have been playing overwatch since 2016 and people who got the game after are better than me. Means nothing that he has the game since september and has all the good cards, that doesnt make him a better player than me.

    0

"folks try to achieve goals like collect enough tokens for rewards, make MT to buy a card" i try to do that, ANY NORMAL player tries to do that, any NORMAL player tries to ""complete"" the game they are playing or try to achieve/unlock/win something.
If im a normal player it means i usually dont have as much time as others because 1- i enjoy and play other games; 2- its not just me playing in my house; 3- is busy. THATS a normal player.

    0

Look, Im just trying to help you, if we both jump on a "complaining train" and start ranting about how 2k is a game for cheesers and ext, nothing good will happen for both of us in the game. We still be losing games. Ive been facing a lot of your problems since Christmas, cos i only started playing this year. When i had a ruby team people had full pd teams, luckily i had 97 Magic from the locker code. I grinded domination and learned to play the game, that time i was playing a lot and i watched a lot of videos about defensive settings, offball(i didnt know about offball that time), onball tips and just how to run offense. I started to offball offballers, started to use only sf and centers, cos i had trash team and i have fun usually only when im winning and achieving my goals fast cos i started late. This game is so stressful if you just grinding, cos in unlimited you cannot lose a single game, you need to go 12-0. In tto extra balldrop can decide if your two hours of grind was a success or failure. That's why people dont give a damn about fair gameplay. Dont compare this game to other games like overwatch, nba 2k is pay to win, you must always remember that.
You said most of the time people let cpu play defense against you, so most of the community plays like that so what is normal player in this game? I think normal player is a cheeser who plays only for w's not for fun. You are a definition of an abnormal player to me, the game gives you sooo many possibilities to have an advantage and you ignore it trying to be "fair", its like ignoring you knife or second weapon in the shooter game and only use your main weapon. Cheesing is everywhere so it became a normal thing. Cos cheesing is the way to be competitive. The very best players who win tournaments do every cheesy thing that exist in the game. For everybody who plays the game for a long time cheesing is a normal thing. When i want to play fair people always cheese against me, so i learned to do the same to be competitive. Im a huge Steph Curry fan and i bought this game to play with him but i didn't use him at all this year cos he is so short, its crazy to think about it. I have zero fun when i lose cos opponents ben simmons post up my steph curry every time.
Im not gonna judge your skill, i just thought if u are a new player and u haven't built a team yet
so you must have bad skills, cos it would be obvious.

What someone would do (Not me of of course). is put giannis or Lebron on the last three bench spots that nobody uses and once the game starts put them at the position they want. I support position locks but there are to many loop holes

    0

game wouldnt let you. position lock "you cant put a player thats not PG at the PG spot".

    1

    What about secondary positions?

    0

to be completely honest a LOT of players have scondary positions, when they shouldnt. only a list of players should have them and too many do.

    1

Facts according to 2k shaq and some point in his career played PF
