WEAKNESSES:

  • Height
  • Speed With Ball
  • Ball Control

RECOMMENDED STRATEGY:

  • Run at the 2 or 3
  • Pick & Pop
  • Pick & Roll
  • Fastbreak
  • Iso Post Up on guards.

USE IF:

  • You want a solid card who can do a little bit of everything

DON’T USE IF:

  • You want to be competitive. This card is great, but is unfortunately ruined by his height. In previous 2K games he has been great, but because of the amount of cheese in this game, he is not usable if you want to really be competitive with other teams in unlimited.

RECOMMENDED SHOES:

  • Red Kobe AD Mids, Red Nike Kyries. They both boost his ball control and speed with ball, which is needed on this card.

RECOMMENDED BADGES:

  • Limitless Range
  • Deep Range Deadeye
  • Difficult Shots
  • Dimer

BOTTOM LINE:

  • Wes Unseld is a very solid card, and if he was 6’10-6’11 he would honestly be one of the best big men in the game in my opinion. He can do a little bit of everything, but because of his height, he struggles to get boards over taller opponents and struggles to get blocks as well. If you don’t mind running a smaller card then by all means this card is great. Is he worth the 12-0 grind though? Yes. There are 2 months to get this card, and going 12-0 will also get you a pink Diamond Dan Issel and 25 tokens. If you a seriously considering going for this card, I would recommend picking up Amethyst Draymond Green. Draymond is a worse version of Wes, and they are both the same height. Play a few games of unlimited with Draymond and if you don’t have any issues with him, then you will love Wes. If you can’t stand Draymond being demolished, then Wes Unseld probably isn’t the right card for you.
