The Bearddd

Written by pllsbrydoghboi

So I'm going to try to write a review because I'm always on this site and thought I'd get started and have some fun. I'm reviewing 'The Beard' because I'm still not sure how to feel about him myself so I'm going to explain how I felt with him and my honest opinions for this cheese filled game! (BTW: I am not a cheeser aka Giannis at pg and whatever else there is, I get inbounds steals and play on ball, so I try) anywaysss,

Bought for: Packed, but goes for about 200k MT

Strengths:

  • Inside scoring: First things first, this card can get to the rack. His dribble moves are really nice and every time I do a pick and pop with Kristaps the defenders don't know whether to run with James or come out to Kristaps. So if you have a stretch big I suggest running picks and getting James going to the basket.

  • Finishing: His animations are good and gets a lot of dunks. He feels like he dunks like Jordan sometimes and his layup packages I have had no problem with (excluding the obvious go up for a layup and Yao is right there jumping from the free throw line swatting my **** lol)

  • Mid Range Scoring: His mid-range is money. The guy doesn't miss open or moving midys.

  • 3 Pointer: This is why I and the rest of you are going to use this card. So I'm going to be honest with this part, his shooting is unreal. His shot is money when he's open either, set feet, moving shot off the dribble, but especially step backs. This is where he excels. Doing step backs is the key to this card in my opinion. Bouncing from just inside the 3 point line to beyond is cheddar with this card and whenever it goes in you laugh and you're just like. Yup lets go James.

  • Playmaking: I have had no problem with his passing and his HOF dimer is amazing. His dribble moves allow you to get past your defender if anyone is open and James dishes the rock to them, they don't miss, HOF dimer is cheddar.

  • Rebounding: Honestly, rebounding is good. He feels like a Westbrook rebounding type guard. Not too much to say just a good rebounding guard no issues.

Weaknesses:

  • Defense: So this was my only concern with this card going into it and I'm not going to say he was a liability but he definitely go blown by sometimes it seemed like his lateral quickness wasn't a 96 at times.

  • Consistency: I think this is one of the most frustrating things but its more of a 2k problem. But this card can go 8/12 from three one game and then 3/15 the next game. However this could be because I do run the offense through him and like to chuck up threes with him but sometimes your just like wtf this is galaxy opal James why am I missing that.

Recommended Strategy: "Drive 1v1, catch and shoot, step backs, off dribble shots, mid range pull-up, attack the basket"

Use if: "You want an athletic playmaker to run at the 1 or 2 that can clip and run your offense"

Don't use if: "You're the Giannis at PG type player or need a defensive stopper at every position"

Bottom Line: "I like this card because he attacks strong and can make his 3's when open. Would I say he's worth 200k... Depends, I like him and will probably keep him but with the way the market is right now you could have some cheap beasts like Eddie Jones making 3's like him but you won't get the ball handling and dribble moves with HOF dimer unless you have James."

Hope you guys enjoyed my first review. I'm not that funny but I'll try to keep it more concise and easier to read next time! All suggestions on future reviews or any questions on the card or anything else just leave a comment!
