Dribble God's Wet Dream

Written by Wainer

Bought for: Packed

Strengths:

  • Scoring: This is a very big strength for this card as Kyrie is deadly from pretty much everywhere. He can shoot the 3 and Mid-Range very consistently with his quick release and can score layups with ease, even dunking the ball sometimes. Due to the fact that he comes with all the shooting badges on gold it seems that it is harder to miss than to score. Even before I added a Shoe and the Coach boost to this card he was still able to score very consistently (but if possible I would recommend adding a 3PT Open shoe and a Coach Boost if possible as this takes him to another level basically becoming automatic with his ability to score).

  • Handling: This is what you expect to come with any version of Kyrie Irving, but with this card he actually gets HOF Ankle Breaker, unlike his last diamond. He is able to easily put defenders in a trance, mesmerizing them with his silky smooth dribble moves, being able to create something from nothing and one snap of the ankles along with his aforementioned lethal scoring ability lead to easy buckets and ankle braces.

  • Speed: This guy is FAST. When this man reaches top speeds it is hard to stop him as if you give him any space he will be able to burn you if given the chance. He has the ability to easily break your ankles then run past you before you can even reset.

  • Shooting off the Screen: If you are able to get space from a Pick with this card it is very likely your shot is gonna hit. Due to the ease at which he scores with how highly rated his 3PT and Mid-Range are and his ability to dribble and force people into screens makes him a nightmare to defend. Along with all the Gold Shooting Badges and HOF Ankle Breaker he also comes with Gold Pick & Roll Maestro which pretty much means if there is any sort of space off of a pick it is gonna go in.

Weaknesses:

  • Rebounding: I'm sure this was expected, but lets be honest, this isn't a reason anyone would get this card. This isn't really an issue seeing as how if he's playing Point he won't be going for rebounds anyway, but he does grab some boards due to his hustle re-bounder badge being on gold but this was mainly in triple threat.

  • Defense: He isn't really a defender, his best part of defense would have to be his ability to Steal the ball as you can time when to steal the ball and due to his gold pick pocket he is able to knock it loose, but other than that there isn't much defense to speak of.

Recommended Strategy: I would say to get the most out of this card I would recommend just getting open. If you are able to create space with his dribbling ability than he will be able to hit the shot from anywhere. Whether that be from 1v1, Pick & Roll, or just Kicking it to him when he is open, if this man gets any space than it will lead to good offense for your team.

Use if: You want a Point Guard who can create offense by himself, or just need a PG who can Score Relentlessly.

Don't use if: You want a defense Point Guard who can overpower others with his Strength and Rebounding, or if you are looking for someone who can dunk (whether that be on people or just dunking in general) consistently.

Bottom Line: Really crazy card, it makes me wonder how good they are going to make the PD Kyrie when it comes out, but if its anything like this card than it will be able to destroy other players. If you are able to pick this card up I would recommend in doing so as this card is basically an offensive machine.
