uh yeah, just heard mbdtf for the first time and i def think so. that shit was beautiful. needs a couple more listens for some songs, but holy, all just so beautiful. Runaway (i had heard before), is one of my favourite songs ever, shit is just crazy. Concept was pulled off great as well.

In the context of music i've heard. (never listened to any lyrical shit tbh, not really for me.) but yeah i think

    @ me

    2

no, hes not the goat of hip hop but hes the goat of music imo

    3

what i mean is that hes the best musician, but there are better rappers

technical rapping, i def agree. kanye has some great and funny wordplay but yeah does not compare lyrically to guys that aren't even top 10 like earl or someone like that

i respect the take for goat musician tho. i'm not too sure/cant really give a firm opinion on that since i have not listened to other genres basically at all so yeah

    no

but he's close. i wouldnt say hes the goat of hip hop all time, but hes defo one of the most influential hip hop artists of the 2000-2010's

    Whos more influential than him?

ill give it up to ye for 808's since he basically opened up a whole new generation, but mfdoom, drake, kdot deserve credit as well.

Yeah 808s is what changed up hip hop

No but he’s real close. There’s still other guys like Eminem, Dr. Dre who have also been around for a long time and are, in my opinion, more influential. I love kanye tho

but also if we're talking purely goat convo, u cant base it solely off influence. discography, lyricism, delivery, flow also come into play. ye def beats em and dre in all of these imo (pretty easily too)(except em in lyrics, he loses there maybe delivery and flow too but new em flow/delivery annoys the fuck outta me)

    I disagree but aight

idk about dre being more influetial than kanye, even em is a stretch. I believe if ye is not the most influential than it's nwa as a collective or pac

I say Dre because he is such a father of rap. Brought the beats of NWA, signed Em when no one else would, made the Beats by Dre franchise, made one of the greatest rap albums, 2001, collaborated with many famous rappers on hit songs. I agree with 2pac, in my opinion he is the Goat of rap

    Kendrick Lamar still exists
