During scrims at the tryouts try and hog one of the wings and when you get the ball, either shoot (if open ofc) drive or drive and pass out
Or if you see a foward cutting hit em.
Coaches love passing and good D
They also love when a player SHOOTS a wide open shot
They won't get mad if you shoot a wide shot as that makes them think you got confidence, now if you go Kobe Bryant 2.0 and just decide to never pass then ya that'll look bad.
If you get the chance to have mismatch on you or a chance to iso then do it.
