John Stockton is one of the few players who´s individual stats never really showed any major impact on team success despite averaging ridiculous amount of assists and leading the league in steals a couple times.
This is why its hard to rank John in the top point guards and why he can go from being underrated to overrated so easily.
Sure Stockton is the all time leader in steals and assists but can you say he was better then Isaiah Thomas or Stephen Curry who have showed then can lead their teams to championships.
John really is a bit of a mystery, also he had no left.

I understand what you are saying but he did have to face against the greatest player of all time on numerous occasions, who was supported by Pip (an MVP candidate if he played on his own and arguably the greatest all-round player of all time). Then he also had to face Olajuwon, who in my opinion is far better than Malone ever was, all the while with a supporting cast that barely went past Hornacek (who is however, underrated). With all this in mind he still went to 19 straight playoffs which is something only really matched by the Spurs organisation and is an achievement in itself. In all honesty I place him as second all-time PG behind Magic and if I could play like anyone, it would be Stockton.

Are you 6 foot 6 or 6 foot 8 and an elite athletic specimen? I know I am not, I am a 6 foot 1 white guy, and Stockton was the best of that category to do it, plain and simple.

There are plenty of guys you could play like tho. If you like offense you got Kyrie and Kemba (like ur name lol), if you like defence you got Gary Payon, if you lie shooting you got Curry and you can always play like someone shorter than you.

NGL half of defense and rebounding is just effort. There was this 6'0 white boy on my middle school team who had like 11 rebounds and 4 blocks a game just because he was a beast.

Yeah but the thing is a true point guard isn't supposed to be a scorer. Stockton is the definition of a true point guard and was a damn good one.

This card right here might get lost in the sauce right now with all the more hype players coming out....but Stockton is legit. His defense is top notch and he is a lock. He also has a money 3 pointer. And his passing is what you expect from John Stockton.The only real knock on him is his size and that he cant dunk.(the Opal probably will be able to dunk like 2k19) But 2k has done good by a lot of the little men adding Giant Slayer.

well atleast Stockton went to the finals where at one point during a switched play he had to guard Jordan. And he was on the Dream team sooooooo CP3 is not as good as stockton
