First of all, this card is for his last year in the league when he wasn't that good. second, it has the same type of stats as all the other cards in the career highlights set: 2k never releases op free cards. third, there will be a galaxy opal kobe coming soon

To one of your points they did release an OP free card to everyone earlier this year and that was the diamond SF/PF ben simmons that yes cant shoot unless its uncontested corner threes which helped me get 12-0 on unlimited and got me GO Wilt

Man if you all think that those evo requirements are insane then, you don't know much about MyTeam. Those evo requirements are not hard at all compared to a Ben Wallace and/or a Dean Wade that requires multiple requirements. And lets not even get started with John Wall's 65 DOUBLE DOUBLES that you have to do 65 games for. 16 hours for a useable and decently good Kobe Bryant is definitely more worth it compared to a G.O.A.T Kobe that takes 120+ hours.

This card isn't worth grinding for. You can get much better for much less. Having to even play 32 games with this godforsaken card is much worse than the grind for GOAT Curry or Bird.

Why? I get it, it's a free card for everyone, and it's supposed to be based on his last game, but they released cards like Simmons and Shaq with
3-pointers, so why all of the sudden they care about "realism"? I don't think anyone would be mad if they gave him a dunk and clamps, which he deserves. As of right now, in my opinion this card is mediocre at best, and hyping up new Kobe content was a low blow from 2K considering how it all came out.

We downvoted because they hyped up the Kobe card & then we get this garbage. Look at the goat Kobe card, it's 1 of the most, if not the most, upvoted cards because even though the requirements are crazy, it's the card Kobe deserved (a great card with lots of grind)... Had this had the Evo from the beginning, it would be nothing but upvotes. But without the Evo, the card wasn't usable, because it couldn't play defense, drive, & was really slow.

I played the first three challenges with this Kobe and he is actually very good. His release is straight butter and he is overall very good. There are only three things that are negative about him. His athleticism is wayyyyy worse than it should be. He isn't nearly as fast as he should be. His dunking is very underwhelming and he doesn't dunk nearly as much as he should. Lastly his defending is very, very underwhelming. Overall his alright but 2k definitely ripped Kobe off. That sad thing is they then make people mad about this card and then release a godly opal so then everyone has to buy packs and it just makes them money.

Kobe Bryant is a great player and will always be remembered. Even though its 6 months after his death the world is still shaken and so am I. I was thinking about how that plane crash impacted Kobe's family's life the most out of all of us. His wife must be on the verge of killing herself of sadness on the death of not only her husband but a 13-year-old daughter as well. I mean Gigi had great dreams playing for UConn and going professional. Kobe's daughter Natalia was the role model of the family, the oldest sibling. She probably loved her sister more than anything else in the world, and now lost her. As Natalia wasn't as attracted to basketball as Gigi was, she still loved her dad. But on the other hand, Bianka and Capri, Kobe's 2 youngest daughters, were starting to grow. Starting to walk and talk, who knows where their future will go. But not having her dad on their sides is just heartbreaking. Kobe won't be there to help guide them in the wrong direction hence the kids are both less than 4 years old. They probably don't even understand the situation going on in their lives right now. All I'm trying to say is to love your family no matter what.

i made an account just to comment about how bad this card is. you're required to use this card in the 8 kobe challenges, so i've had plenty of time to note all of it's glaring flaws.
1. he's too damn slow. even in kobe's final game, he could still at least keep up with everyone else. this card has issues doing so, especially if he's the ball handler. if he's off-ball, he can at least get open, but if he's on-ball, forget about it.
2. kobe in his final game made some good passes, yet this card can't pass for shit.
3. he doesn't really knock down shots as well as you'd expect kobe to, which is really apparent in the "score 62/81 points in a game" challenges, where he'll miss wide open shots, or have issues drawing fouls.
4. he can't really drive. you'd expect a celebratory kobe card to exemplify everything kobe could do, which includes driving, but this card can't. between his poor finishing ability & his garbage speed, you'll end up getting blocked or caught up to more often than not.
all in all, i saw a few comments saying they should've made an evo kobe card & more challenges that can level up the evo until he's a galaxy opal, & i agree with that. he should be usable by everyone, but honestly, he's not even usable by newcomers, because there are faster cards out there that are cheap & can at least get the job done offensively & defensively. in this game, speed matters, & they intentionally made kobe ridiculously slow, among other things, so he wouldn't be usable. considering 2ks bias against kobe, claiming all he could do was shoot, & even that he couldn't do well, it's not surprising they made a shitty card like this, but it's in bad taste. very bad taste

How about you all chill? First, it is a free card with free challenges. Second, the card says career highlights. So maybe theres a chance we also get a better card and more challenges. Especially since all challenges are super easy. So maybe better card and harder challenges will follow. Anyway you are not pissed because 2k disrespected Kobe but you got a crappy card...

um its for his last game, jair is right. He couldnt dunk, slow as shit, and obv not great defender due to speed. But tbh if 2k can give issac bonga a good card and shaq with hof limitless range then i think they could of done sum better

They also gave us 8 spotlight challenges and the only good reward is 81 tokens.Man fuck 2K, genuinely.This isnt on the same level them putting Kobe in packs but its fucked up to mess around with hyping up Kobe content and disrespecting the community.They could have gave us this card and then had something crazy like 30 challenges with all 30 teams where you had to drop Kobes career high points against that team in game on said team until the end where you faced off the 2001 lakers with that glitched Shaq and at the end you got an evo Rookie Kobe that went to an Opal plus those 81 tokens.
This is just an ideia to show Kobes grinding mentality.
