Solid all around offense

Written by Slevin424

Dirt cheap option for the ballin on a budget lineup. Offense is all there. Layups, shooting, playmaking and speed. Great choice if you like running offense through PG's. Similar to Kenny Smith amethyst. Although that defense is a bit of a worry. Just imagine this card as like a 6'1 James Harden if that makes sense.

Bought for: 9,000 MT

Strengths:

  • Shooting: Great floor spacer. Jumpshot animation is smooth and quick. Easy green light. Can hit them off the dribble. Has good hot spots too.
  • Smooth moves: Dribble game is strong, has solid handles and animations to break down defenders.
  • Decent perimeter defender, gets lots of steal.
  • Playmaking: My PG's need that Dimer and Floor General badge and gold will do just fine. With gold needle threader as well his passing is elite.
  • Speedy

Weaknesses:

  • Interior Defense: Yeah elephant in the room here. 25 stat line. That's rough. Any slashing PG can have a field day with this guy. Also doesn't have clamp badges which I feel is a must have for guards.
  • Strength: 45 does let him get pushed around a bit so try not to get switched up on a bad matchup
  • 6'1

Recommended Strategy: Pick n rolls, off ball screens, ISO dribble moves to break down bad defenders and shooting the lights out.

Other Comments: As far as Amethyst go he's definitely worthy of that top spot. Richie Guerin is the more well rounded PG for a bit of everything (including better D) but it's hard to find a PG with a good jumpshot and ratings to back them up.

Use if: You want a solid option on offense who can space the floor

Don't use if: If you really want a defender
