Diamond Magic, 6'9 PG...

Written by Nba2kGod11

Well lads we have a 6'9 PG in October. I don't like where this is going. Fortunately this card isn't THAT good but can still be very effective in the right hands.

Bought for: 150k MT

Strengths:

  • Playmaking: One of the best playmakers in the game of course, it's freaking Magic Johnson! He has HOF Floor General, Dimer, Needle Threader, and Gold Bail Out. That's essentially all you need.

  • Pro 3 BtB creates so much separation. He has 81 speed w/ball, speed, and acceleration with 94 ball handle which is pretty good for a 6'9 PG. Has badges like Gold Downhill, Unpluckable, and Handles For Days. I'm pretty sure he has a fantastic Curry escape too. Can get to the basket with ease.

  • Big PG Cheese: This card has 81 strength which can bully smaller PGs down low. Along with that he's got a 94 post hook with Gold Deep hooks. And as I said he's 6'9. This is unstoppable if you know how to use him.

  • Rebounding: Easily the best rebounding PG in the game with 87 Ovr rebounding stats and badges like Gold Rebound Chaser, Box, and Worm. His height helps him clean up on the glass as well.

  • Finishing: 93 driving layup with finishing badges like Gold Acrobat, Contact Finisher, Fancy Footwork, Pro Touch, and more.

  • 80 perimeter defense, lateral quickness, and interior defense. One unique thing about this card is he can guard centers on switches with his stats/badges. Key defensive badges he has are Gold Interceptor, silver pick dodger, and pogo stick. Can defend inside with Gold Moving Truck and his 6'9 frame. Good defensive tendencies of 69 on-ball steal and pass-interception as well. Because of no CLAMPS, wouldn't say he's an elite defender but just because of his height he can get stops.

  • Gold Difficult Shots and Corner Specialist, he can hit leaning mid-range pullups and a few open corner 3s.

Weaknesses:

  • No Clamps(can't even apply it)

  • 76 3pt can hit a few opens but is not consistent. Trash release too, slow AND hard to time

  • No QFS(can't even apply it). Doesn't feel that fast too apparently.

  • Not the best dunker

Recommended Strategy: Cheese with him. Run a 5-OUT, do a Pro 3 BtB, and you're off to the races for an easy slam dunk. Even if the opposing PG stops you just post him up and do a hook/spin/dropstep. Try to hide him on defense, matching him to the SF or PF actually works well.

Use if: You want a tall PG to cheese.

Don't use if: You need a PG to shoot and has Clamps

Bottom Line: Fantastic Card!
