Spud Webb '87

This is going to be a review on sapphire Spud Webb, just a fun card to use in TT Offline and is pretty underrated if you ask me.
Bought for: 6 tokens from Sapphire Board
Finishing: I don't know what 2k was doing giving a 5'7 sapphire a 95 driving dunk and 98 vertical with great dunking tendencies. Even when he's not posterizing people this dude is still getting those smooth finishes at the rim with his DEFAULT SMALL layup package(best in the game) and Gold Slithery and Consistent Finisher + Pro Touch(92 driving layup too). Overall this guy's finishing is without question unbelievable.
Slashing: 89 speed w/ball and Gold Quick First Step, Unpluckable, and Handles for Days is insane. Spud also has 86 ball handle with Pro 2 tween(best in the game in my opinion, creates a lot of separation) and Pro 2 BtB(Curry's dribble sigs). You really can't guard him going to the basket.
84 lateral quickness and 87 steal with elite defensive tendencies of 90 pass-interception and 88 on-ball steal. Even comes with Gold Pogo Stick.
Base 22 is $, 79 3pt can hit a few opens with the low difficulty.
- Playmaking: Gold Bail Out and Needle Threader
You'd expect just a little better shooting from a tiny PG.
No Clamps or anything like that his defense is pretty bad
- 5'7 and 25 strength now that Diamond Magic's in the game this can be a problem. But as I said I'd only recommend using this card against the CPU
Recommended Strategy: Get Spud on an iso, burn the opposition with his speed and get an easy slam dunk or crafty finish. Try to hide on defense.
Other Comments: Is he better than Sapphire Bryon Russell and DeShawn Stevenson? I'd say no for online but for offline if you just want to have some fun Spud Webb is perfect.
Use if: You want to have a free PG that can really get it done on the drive.
Don't use if: You need height or have more MT.
Bottom Line: A card that literally no one talks about but can still be a great card for you.
